I have to say when we started watching this I saw where the low review came from ( lol-there are only two here at the time). We persevered because we thought how much badder can this be? It quickly became apparent this was not a mystery drama but a black comedy and it suddenly was so much more enjoyable.
Glad we stuck it out, very entertaining.
A great mystery writer. As soon as I saw his name I knew I had to give this film a try. Holds your interest right from the start and never let's you go. We'll worth watching.
I've been watching a lot of Lifetime movies with my wife recently and we somehow got addicted to Eric Roberts. This was one of those Tubi gems that we were able to stick it out past the first 30 minutes for, and I'm glad we did.
First off, the score during the intro set off a bad tone. It sounded like someone's first attempt in FL Studio, and this carries throughout pretty much the entire movie. Towards the end, I was debating whether this was supposed to be a comedy because of how inappropriate the score and soundtrack were. I was debating knocking a few points off my rating due to just how awful the music was. During the scenes that were supposed to be intense and serious we were dying laughing from it.
Other than that, it's not a bad thriller I guess you would call it. I wouldn't call it a dark comedy, because I'm really sure it wasn't meant to be funny. Shaun Benson is great as always and Eric Roberts plays the same creep I've seen him as in 10 other movies.

Keisha Ceylon (Emily Hampshire) is a fake psychic. Money is tight and she has to do a con with a teen runaway. She has a son and a bad boyfriend. The news is reporting a missing woman. Her husband Wendell Garfield (Eric Roberts) and her daughter Melissa (Katie Boland) are pleading for her return but they're hiding a secret. Keisha sees a new opportunity.
Keisha could be smarter. I figure she would play up her psychic abilities to the cop. That's the cinematic move. The boyfriend is even dumber. He must be the stupidest person alive. The cop isn't that smart either. There is no way she would bring Keisha into the crime scene. This turns from a crime drama into an almost screwball comedy. At a certain point, one must submit to the stupidity of these characters. Then it stops short. The movie is literally short. The ending feels rushed and would help with one more scene. I don't see the assumed motive behind the crime. I like the premise and the start but the plot takes a couple of bad turns.

This is a tongue in cheek Canadian thriller. Good performances and tension and plenty of twists along the way. I won't say too much else as to not give the plot away. Unpredictable and a decent way to pass the time.
