ER Reunion on The Pitt? Noah Wyle Would ‘Never Say Never,’ But Reveals Why Stunt Casting Is Not Top of Mind
Image
Noah Wyle isn’t ruling out an ER reunion on his current medical drama, The Pitt. But in a new interview with Variety, the Emmy nominee reveals why he’s not necessarily campaigning for any of his former costars to join him on HBO Max in the immediate future.

While he would “never say never” to acting opposite an old friend, Wyle explains that stunt-casting will never take precedence over the series’ mission, which is to offer as realistic a depiction as possible of the greatest challenges facing healthcare workers in modern-day America.

'The Pitt' Franchise Gets an Unfortunate Diagnosis from HBO Max CEO
Image
In the weeks following the debut season of The Pitt, fans only wanted one thing from HBO Max: more. The good news is that the streamer was paying close attention to the medical series' popularity and ordered a second season weeks before Season 1 ended its run. The bad news is, for now, this will be pretty much it. During a new interview with Variety, HBO Max's CEO and content chairman Casey Bloys talked about the series and addressed the rumors of possible spin-offs.

During the interview with Variety, Bloys celebrated the success of The Pitt and underscored that Season 2 is already in production. After calling the series' production team "the best in the business," the executive stated that it's "impressive that the show broke through" at the Emmys and scored 13 nominations for its debut season. About the spin-offs, however, Bloys didn't have the best diagnosis to give. He stated:

"Have not gotten there yet.

'The Pitt' Star Tracy Ifeachor Not Returning for Season 2
Image
The Pitt is set to return early next year, but fans of HBO Max's hit medical drama will be devastated to learn that a key cast member will not return. As filming for the upcoming second season is officially underway, it seems a fan-favorite character has been written out of the series. The short turnaround for The Pitt Season 2 will still see most of the cast return, alongside some key new additions.

Per Variety, The Pitt star Tracy Ifeachor will not be returning as Dr. Heather Collins in Season 2. The report claims that the decision came from the creative team to remove the character moving forward. Ifeachor did not leave the series on her own accord, Variety confirmed. It's an unfortunate update for fans of the series, especially those who consider her to be a key element in the main storyline alongside Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle). Bert Kreischer to Topline Netflix Sitcom
Image
Bert Kreischer has made five stand-up specials for Netflix, and now he’s taking the time-honored path trod by many comedians: starring in a sitcom.

Kreischer will play the title role in and is a co-creator of Free Bert, a six-episode comedy the streamer has ordered. Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel (The Grinder, Huge in France) co-created the show with Kreischer and will serve as showrunners, writers and directors. The cast also includes Arden Myrin, Lilou Lang and Ava Ryan.

In Free Bert, Kreischer will play a version of himself — a “shirtless comedian, party legend, perpetual wildcard,” as the show’s logline puts it. He finds himself in unfamiliar territory when his daughters (Lang and Ryan) are accepted at an elite private school in Beverly Hills. When his antics turn the family into outcasts, he decides to put a shirt on and stifle his true self in order to fit in.

Bert Kreischer Comedy Series Ordered By Netflix; Arden Myrin & Ava Ryan Co-Star
Image
Netflix has been slowly evolving into what broadcast networks have stood for — offering a broad spectrum of entertainment for everyone. After adding procedurals to its portfolio of original offerings, the global streamer also has been taking a page from the broadcast comedy playbook by building series around stand-ups and their lives and material.

Following Shane Gillis’ Tires, Michelle Buteau’s Survival of the Thickest and Leanne Morgan’s upcoming Leanne, Netflix has greenlighted Free Bert, a six-episode scripted comedy series starring, co-created and executive produced by Bert Kreischer, who has done six stand-up specials for the streamer.

Fellow actor-comedian Arden Myrin (The Righteous Gemstones) also stars in the series along with newcomers Ava Ryan — who has a big social media footprint with 3.3M followers — and Lilou Lang. Free Bert is co-created and executive produced by Kreischer as well as Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, who serve as writers,...

New cast members have been revealed for the upcoming series 9-1-1: Nashville. As previously announced, the show will feature Chris O'Donnell as one of the leading actors, and now more of his co-stars are confirmed.

Per Variety, 9-1-1: Nashville has added cast members Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. Along with O'Donnell, they are joining other previously announced series stars, including Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

Sheriff Country continues to expand the franchise with (two) exciting cast additions
Image
Fire Country has continued its red hot ascent up the ratings on CBS, and now, its eyes are set on a spinoff. Sheriff Country, which is set to follow characters introduced in the main series, is set to air during the 2025-26 season. We've already met Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin), but Sheriff Country recently added faces that will be brand new to the franchise.

Christopher Gorham has been cast as Travis, the ex-husband of Mickey Fox. The two share a child together, a daughter named Skye, and remain forces in each others lives, which can sometimes lead to complicated feelings. Travis and Mickey are split up, but it doesn't mean the possibility of romance is completely off the table.

‘Sheriff Country’ Casts ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ and ‘The Pitt’ Alums as Series Regulars

As the highly anticipated spin-off series Sheriff Country starts to take shape at CBS, new names start getting added to the slate of main stars. Today, the network announced through Deadline two pretty big newcomers that will help elevate the story of the new procedural series: Christopher Gorham and Michele Weaver have joined the show as series regulars. The spin-off is yet to get a release date, but at this point CBS is eyeing the 2025-2026 schedule to debut the first season, probably close to its mothership series Fire Country.

While CBS hasn't unveiled a full synopsis for Sheriff Country, we do know that the series will follow no-nonsense Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) as she patrols the streets of Edgewater and investigates cases from the small town. She is the stepsister of Fire Country's Sharon Leone (Diane Farr) and the aunt of Bode Donovan (Max Thieriot). The two new...

In series regular roles, Gorham will star as Travis, a lawyer and Sheriff Mickey Fox’s ex-husband. Together, they have a daughter, Skye, whom they’ve helped through addiction struggles. Despite their many differences, Travis and Mickey might still harbor feelings for each other.

Image
The long-awaited fourth and final season of HBO's The Righteous Gemstones finally made its premiere on March 9, 2025, and so far the series' swan song has been a big hit with fans and critics. Starring Danny McBride, Adam DeVine, Edi Patterson, John Goodman and Walter Goggins, to name a few, The Righteous Gemstones follows a dysfunctional family of televangelists as they battle to keep their generational empire intact while preaching the gospel.

Kicking off with the episode "Prelude," The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 currently sits at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics unanimously agreeing that it's one of the best. Featuring an appearance by Bradley Cooper, Jack Hamilton from Slate said in his review that "Season 4 opens with a striking, stand-alone episode that I won't spoil other than to say that it's probably the most ambitious half-hour that the show has ever undertaken." Elsbeth Season 2 Episode 14 Sees Miss Tascioni Square Off with A ’90s and 2000s TV Icon

Honestly, this episode of Elsbeth should have been called “The Mama Bear Mittens Are Coming Off.” There was no holding back on this culturally infused installment from everyone’s favorite Chicago attorney.

For one thing, how adorable was Henry, the tour guide? I don’t know who that actor is, but he is popping up more and more in different shows and movies.

However, the award for the most over-the-top acting on Elsbeth goes to Alyssa Milano. Was her character a little too much? Check the fingernails. But what the actor did with the role was epic.

This Surprising Trend Is Giving Netflix Users Some of the Best Shows of All Time (& It's not Even Close)

Quick LinksBritish Dramas Lead The Pack On NetflixBritain Has Dominated Netflix's Reality Television

There are many streaming services available for audiences to consume, but Netflix remains the most successful. The streaming giant has provided several of the internet's biggest hits, like Stranger Things and Wednesday. Netflix's big-budget productions bring Hollywood production values to the small screen, ensuring viewers do not need to pop into theaters to witness cinematic spectacles. Although its prices have risen, it is showing no signs of slowing down, continuing to pump out an impressive amount of content. However, the most engaging releases on Netflix are not glossy U.S. productions, but rather the imports from other countries. Korean shows like Squid Game and Legends Of The Blue Sea have garnered big fan followings, while programs from Japan like Alice In Borderland and House Of Ninjas have sparked plenty of discussion. By Throwing Shae Off Her Trail on Matlock Season 1 Episode 11, Matty May Have Called Even Worse Attention To Herself

Madeline Matlock might move a little slower than her coworkers, but her mind is a storage room of mental weapons. Matty shut down Shae so fast that I’m surprised the jury consultant didn’t get whiplash.

And how cute was Edwin undercover down in Georgia? As far as twists go, that one was a non-starter, but the series gets points for having fun with it.

Unfortunately for Madeline Matlock, she may have just put herself right in the path of the bull’s horns by trying to cover her own tracks.

Lance Bass Says His CW Pilot Was Canceled After He Came Out: “A Career Killer”

Melrose Place stars Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton are set to return to the steamy residential complex for a new revival
Image
In the early 90s, producer Aaron Spelling and TV creator Darren Star struck primetime drama gold with the high school soap opera Beverly Hills 90210. The show laid the groundwork for some good old-fashioned scheduled viewing for homes waiting to see what kinds of trouble the kids at West Beverly would get into. The show would crossover stars as Beverly’s Dylan and Kelly befriended Melrose resident Jake. And when Heather Locklear was added to the cast, the show’s popularity would skyrocket.

Among the bevy of shows that have returned in some fashion, Deadline is now reporting that Melrose Place will be getting a revival, and three of its...
