I like Adam Scott & Craig Anderson. Enough to overlook most of the flaws this show has.
But, it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. It's just plain fun, nothing more. The paranormal stuff is kinda OK, but the show could be about anything and it would still work with those two.
Imagine a show about two average (but funny) guys gardening, shooting hoops, knitting camping or whatever. It would still be funny with Craig and Adam. The producers could've let them sit on a couple of toilet seats in booths next to each other and it would still work.
Not much else to say, really. If you like the two and their comedic chemistry then it should work for you. If you don't then that's that. 5.5/10

It seems like the show was originally 10 episodes, but for some reason they decided to force 6 really bad wannabe The Office episodes in before the finale.
Episode 16 appears to pick up where episode 9 ended, with none of the previous 6 episodes seemingly having affected the storyline whatsoever.
Episodes 10-15 also introduced a bunch of characters that are gone again in the finale.

They started out as essentially a parody of The X-Files, doing a comedic monster of the week until Episode 10.
Then, when that didn't do well, not only did they go off the air for more than 6 months, (they actually went off the air after Episode 9), but they also got a new Showrunner, in Paul Lieberstein, who played Toby on The Office (US), (he is also Creator of The Office (US) Greg Daniels' brother-in-law in real life), and ran that show from Season 5 to Season 8.
He took over, and from Episode 11 to Episode 15, it was essentially The Office or Parks and Recreation, (or a show like those), except in a show that started out as a wasted The X-Files parody.
It also changed the plot a bit, with them obviously being unable to do a monster of the week thing, (at least, they couldn't have done it well.) Paul decided that the best plot would be for them to sit in an office all day, being boring and unfunny, worrying about how their office was bugged. There was even a whole episode trying to find, and follow, the wire.
Which, was so bad that it was funny, so I guess there could be some fake points, or something, there.
Then, the last episode? It's like the first half again. After a solid ending to Episode 15, me being kind of sort of hyped up for the series again, they switch the style YET AGAIN, and essentially leave that storyline unresolved. (But, they do answer another storyline, in the last episode/series finale episode, sort of.) I'm not sure if this was an episode from before Paul came on, or if he just wanted to have the series (he probably thought season at the time, if he did do this) finale episode be like the first half of the season, but either way it's confusing and annoying.
There. It's not a full on review, but I feel like semi-thoroughly explaing how this series changed it's style halfway through, is enough, lol!
Thanks for reading, if you did, lol!

The way this show was handled is an enigma. It started as a funny spoof of sci-fi series with inventive and funny scenarios. Then, after episode 9, out of the blue, the show became mediocre. It started following a complicated uninteresting plot, the jokes disappeared and the authors also killed the vibe between the main characters.
Adam Scott and Craig Robinson are very capable actors, brilliant comedians, their chemistry was promising but it all disappeared. I don't know if the total change of orientation of the show is due to the brilliant mind of a marketing genius, or any other studio executives, or if for an unknown reason the writers resigned, but this move killed a perfectly viable show. I don't remember seeing anything like that before: a show going from very good to totally rotten in a snap. I'd be curious to know what happened. Anyway this is too bad.
