New Braunfels Texas resident here. I like this show as well as the ones for New Hampshire, Maine, and now Louisiana. It's cool to see them filming at familiar locations that I have visited many times here in TX,.
Only complaint I have is I'd rather see more animal rescues and catching poachers and catching cheating hunters and less injured-hiker carryouts (esp in NH) and hassling kids for smoking weed and having a beer. I understand that these behaviors need monitoring and enforcement, but I really don't want to watch that kind of stuff (reminds me too much of my teen years, lo these 45 years ago).

It is a joke how these texas game wardens are treating these hunters. Don't watch any episodes out of texas or hunt in Texas. A game warden was giving a hunter a hard time over not having a pen to mark his tags when his truck was right around a corner. Killing a venomous snake is a criminal offense.
I love this show, however; Texas game wardens always let the audience know what a violator COULD be charged with, but rarely follow through. I've seen some really cruel things done to animals, but when they catch the person it's always a 'warning'. Even if they go as far as arresting someone, it's a slap on the wrist. It's a shame.
Lone Star Law shows what Texas Game Wardens go through on a daily basis, from dealing with poachers to arresting bad guys. It is good to know that things are actually being done to prevent poaching!
I'm an old lady Texan. This is a great series that is both entertaining and educational. I also love seeing all of this great state. I have traveled over much of it, but Texas is a very big state. I have learned so much from watching this show about the laws and needed licenses. I didn't know I would need a hunting license to keep a baby squirrel or a turtle. I know it now ...thanks to this show. I am also impressed with the kindness of the game wardens. They teach all of us that honesty is always the best policy.
