Not Great by any stretch but the humor was top notch. The main actor did a good job playing a very real, modern entitled loser. The plot is plain so it relies on the dialogue which is fun- but that's it. Basic Hollywood Rags to Whatever... gets the girl, gets even, no thriller, no twist but slow, don't worry if you need to pee fun... It's like Larry David's son-in-law was given an opportunity and a small bag of money and he hit a two bagger. I liked it but I wish I had my 120 minutes back.

This is little doubt that the actors in this movie put on an excellent performance despite the poor and contrived plot line. There was a story here about life and death, being down and out, and purpose but it was so contrived, stereotypical and unnecessarily unbelievable that the message was lost. Rodney was in foster care...really? Is that what led to his homelessness? Give me a break.

Quite bad acting from the main guy, boring with bad jokes. I can't understand the stellar reviews from others. 10/10 giving to it looks like others haven't seen other movie than this one. Then again people have a different taste, maybe you'll like it. My wife and I did not.

PS ok the black guy and old lady were good acts.

Stumbled upon this movie & decided to try it out. I'm glad i did. I loved the atypical bond between June & Rodney. It was a well written indie film that was both very real & funny.

I'd recommend this movie to anyone. Definitely give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised.

For fans of Judd Apatow and Greta Gerwig style dramedy - this is a sweet, little indie gem with lots going for it. Tons of nice little moments and performances. Take a chance on an unknown - it'll surprise you.

Director Michael MacRae does a great job at balancing comedy, drama, and telling a well rounded story. Steve Olsen absolutely kills it as "Rodney" as he is both funny and relatable. In a world with so many studio made repetitious films, check out this great original story.

Love the movie. Found it funny and at the same time being real. The friendship that Rodney and June has was so real. This is a must watch.

I stumbled upon this while surfing iTunes and I gotta say, this was GOOD!! Do yourself a favor, and watch this! The casting was really good. It was fun seeing familiar faces from some of my favorite TV shows. WATCH IT NOW!

This movie says so much more than what is on the surface

A movie with full of comedy and drama. Overall it was soon good and nice.

This is a heartfelt, charming indie dramedy that is anything but indie. It feels like a blockbuster with a story that is smart and filled with witty humour, genuine moments and some very relatable themes and perspectives. The outstanding direction creates an engaging atmosphere paired with some phenomenal and charismatic performances that prove this is that one fish in the sea. It is one of the big indie hits of 2018.

A movie you can just go to and enjoy..it's not trying to be something it's not , the actors we're good and the acting not bad ...lots of funny little scenes

This film was a fun independent film style romp through a mainstream film type genre. Michael A. Macrae writes some original and compelling characters going through life. Steve Olson and Katherine Cortez shine in this somber but uplifting tale that makes you laugh. The addition of Katrina Bowden and Kate Flannery as familiar faces of quality comedy helps cement this movie as a must see.

I was surprised what a great movie this is! Full of laughs when its needed the most.

There is nothing to boast,but if you want to spend 90 minutes,just watch.A little movie which make us happy.

As a person that have family members who have suffered through illnesses and horrible family issues. I love the way this movie dealt with those issues, showed the lead female character vulnerability even when she wanted everyone else to think she was not as kind as she really was. I loved that the main male character was funny and showed the progression of a slob, down on his luck guy to a great responsible man at the end of the movie.

This is what independent comedy movies can do best. Discovering a gem and a clear, funny voice like the director's is why I love indie films.

Fishbowl has a deft touch in direction and writing. The actors are great. The lead is charming and vulnerable and you are drawn in by him and the story. It's a well made movie and worth a few bucks to watch. I wanted to let you know I really liked it and wish you the best.

To mention the plot of this cheerful comedy is pointless because - for me - the movie is more about the characters. Each actor brings their role to life and the movie just flows along and leaves you happy.

The creative minds behind this film really took this baby home... The writing was witty, comical and emotionally touching. The camera work was artistic, purposeful and added to the humor of the movie.

Great film for some laughs, recognizable faces and touching story!

Let me start off by saying... NO this movie is not perfect. My rating is based on the fact that this movie has what so many are missing this day in age. Heart. There are flaws sprinkled throughout, but if you just sit back and watch it without trying to dissect everything, those flaws dissolve in to what you enjoy about the movie. Almost like how flaws end up being things you love about your significant other.

The performances are all solid, and the supporting cast brings a lot to the table. The story, while predictable, delivers what you want to see in a lighthearted film. Just because you know how a story is going to play out, doesn't mean it's a bad film. I was more relieved to see that they weren't trying to be too clever for the audience by throwing in some unpredictable twists and turns... because I feel like nearly every movie tries to do that these days.

Overall... it's a very refreshing story. I was able to just sit back, watch, and enjoy myself. A perfect movie to watch if your just in a slump and need to leave reality for an hour and a half.
