The Weekend

This is obviously aimed and made for a very specific demographic and a certain audience. That doesn't mean that others who just let their guard down, won't be able to enjoy. Beware though that the movie takes it sweet time. Whether you are aware of the inciting incident with the bag or not, you will be wondering when the movie will finally kick off.

Now the long prologue is there to introduce us to the characters and their world. But they are rather paper thin and do not need a lot of introduction or any kind of depth, that isn't there in the first place. Scenes are there for entertainment purposes (like two rappers), which could have been easily been cut out of the movie. Some people will be completely annoyed by our main characters, but if you stick with them, you will have a somewhat decent movie. Even though the payoff towards the end is almost criminal in its simplicity. But you either roll with it or you don't ...

An absolute car crash of a film!

This is literally the worst movie I have ever seen. The characters are extremely annoying and stupid and the ending is terrible.

I love this movie this my third time watching it I first watch this back late 2018. I love the story the plot, the setting just everything. The cast everybody just seems perfectly well creative whoever doesn't like this movie is lame. Needs to go and get a job. Get their life together do what they gotta do. But yeah, they need to make more movies like this is so freaking awesome. I love this freaking movie man.

I personally found it a very entertaining watch, but then again, I'm from hackney so got all the jokes as I understand the culture. It's fairly low budget and acting is so so ( has a school drama vibe to it), I can understand how many audiences would totally reject this movie but I personally found it quite funny and love supporting local actors.
