I love everything about this show....Can't wait for season 4..

As a black cinema connoisseur I already knew this was gonna be good when I saw Clifton Powell, Vanessa Calloway, and JD Williams in it. And boy do they not disappoint. Not only are they good but it's acting of the other stars like Demetria Mckinney and Jasmine Burke that jump out at me too. The plot is crazy, it has plenty of twists and unexpected turns that the story takes and it's really addictive. I binged watched seasons 1-3 in a matter of 2 days. Keep up the good work Bounce TV. FYI the series is available for streaming on BrownSugar and or Bouncetv's website for those of you who don't have the tv network like myself.

If Saints and Sinners turns out to be Bounce TV's flagship program, then Bounce TV should be proud! Saints and Sinners is a fantastic edgy, gritty show! Mayor Lady Ella ain't messin around when someone crosses her or messes with her family! I love Vanessa Bell Calloway as Lady Ella! This show is on par with Empire, Greenleaf, and trumps all daytime soaps! And now that Bounce has expanded its season to 13 episodes, it can hook more viewers on its drama, sexy romance, and blazing action that to me, rivals what I saw on The Wire, from which two of its cast members cut their chops. I rate the show an eight. If the show had a sharper look on my TV, I would give it a ten. Good job Bounce TV!

So this show is def entertaining if you like this sort of stuff. And if you do, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's basically a soap opera set in a southern black church. The writing is pretty bad at times and definitely lacks substance. The storylines are ok overall but some of the conversations would never happen bc ppl would never say those things lol. Acting is pretty good as well. But wow the misogyny! I cringe literally every episode at some of the ways the women are portrayed, things they say and the way they behave. But I keep watching for the drama I guess lol. Overall I like the show and it keeps me entertained, it just has plenty of cringe and eye roll moments - like any good soap I guess!

Great premise and good performance delivery by a Strong main cast. However, as the story progressed, it lacked depth and seemed hollow and sketchy at times. Also, the way too frequent B/C-list cameos seemed no more than a gratuitous and over-hyped way to boost the storyline. I was also overwhelmed by the level of violence, greed and depravity, with scant good, remorse, or redemption. The ironic thing for me is that of all the characters, as the story progresses, Rex (I'm not condoning his behavior) turns out to have the most integrity. Regardless of his antics, he openly proclaimed exactly who he was. This series rings true with Christ's declaration that, "The people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light." Luke 16:8. This is one verse of a passage from verses 1-9 in which he acknowledges that the worldly use shrewdness to their advantage, and that Christians should be equally shrewd yet use their skill for good. There was a lot of shrewdness, cunning and conniving in "Saints and Sinners" but 99% of it was done for bad. We've all sinned and come short, but when we know better, we should do better.
