My Son, My Savior

It seems a sketch and the first temptation is to be real critic about it. But, scene by scene, you discover it as correct, profound honest, a film exactly for believers . Corina Crade and Bruce Marchiano are , both , decent interpreters of their roles and it seems be not very fair to say more. A film to remind, a small portrait of Mother of God and a not so familiar portrait of The Savior but a credible one. Short, just a beautiful film, correct resume of the life of The Son of God in the perspective of His Mother.

This is the most realistic and most comprehensive version of any movie relating to the Saviour, Jesus Christ. The language and tone is perfect for young viewers in particular and spoken in a way that anyone can relate to. I sincerely wish it had been longer using vital occurrences in the life of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Apostles. The settings were very well done. The Magi scene including the Nativity would have also been done appropriately as well as beautifully. The travels to Bethlehem should also have been included. I understand that with a smaller budget many scenes had to be cut however, too many critical scenes as well as events such as including John the Baptist. King Herod and Pontiac Pilate would have added so much more to the movie. . Kudos to the writers, directors, etc... as well as to the cast and crew. Amazing portrayal of YESHUA HAMASHIA R. Rivera.

Bruce Marchiano who has made a career of playing Jesus stars in this cut down and economical version of His life story. Biographically speaking there's not much more to it other than bits and pieces of miracles chronicled by witnesses, mostly disciples. The rest is over blown Hollywood hype from big budget films as Cecil B. DeMille did in his day.

The film is seen through the perspective of Mary and if I didn't know better I'd say it was a Catholic production. Mary is played by Corina Crade quite winnngly.
