To be fair, all I could watch was the first 27 min. I don't know if it got any better but even if it did, the first 27 min was so bad, it's unforgivable. What is bad- well the leading actor- not so good, the story itself- unrealistic, or if it's meant to be a fantasy, it makes no sense. The sound- not good. You might say, 'how can you say the story is bad if you only watched 27 min- well- sorry, it's all I could stand.
Highly recommend this little indie gem. Ran across this title, liked the poster and
was so pleased to find a film the whole family enjoyed. I was hesitant to rent, when I read it was about the loss of a spouse (since one of our friends who was over had lost their wife) BUT found the subject matter to be background for the story. The film was humorous, suspenseful and pleased EVERYONE in a living room of 7 people.
The movie started off fine but "crashed and burned" after 20 minutes of viewing. Primary issue: TOO SLOW Secondary issue: TOO drawn out plot.
The annoyance of Bobby's leftside hairline covering his eye 100% of the time was unnecessary to his depressed if not demonized/pill popping drunk half the time persona. There is no doubt, ANY ONE who has gone through the loss of a beloved, that it is a true "tsunami of sadness" forevermore. NOT the issue - the issue should have been played as it was depicted: MIL trying to make him pay/drive him insane for the death of her daughter, Brigitte. Barbara Barrie was her consummate self and I salute her effort in this "C" rated thriller. Sean Young lacked ANY personality in truth. Can't say much for others or the movie itself. A true bomb.

ALERT. PLEASE DON'T WATCH THIS RANCID FILM!!
Let's start with this director/writer should never be allowed to do anything else film wise. She/he/they/it is absolutely terrible! Why spending money and time to lure in producers and investors just to show them how bad you are as a writer and director.
BAD ACTING! BAD PLOT! SLOW AS SNAILS! BAD SOUND AND EDITING.
The list goes on and on. I have on clue why we need this junk to litter the film world. The director should be forced to flip burgers at McDonalds until their days come.
There is nothing good I can mention at all, except the cinematography in the beginning is decent and nice. But after 3 minutes in, I realized it's going to be hell to watch. The clue is when the guy pours liquor in the glass, and stops and then does it again. It's against alcoholic nature. They never stop and hesitates to do it.
After that scene, I get more angry and angry watching it.

Very slow moving. I lost interest after the first 30 minutes, but because of the "high ratings" I thought it would get better- it did not.
I just couldn't connect with the main character. There was NOTHING likable about him. He was supposed to be a big ad executive, yet his appearance told a different story. His wife wasn't dead long enough for him to have a full beard (and a disgusting one at that). His hair was constantly hanging in his face- not the only reason this film is such a stinker. But a good actor would have gotten the point across without such cheap tactics.
There's nothing cohesive about this movie!
The (10 star) ratings seemed to have been written by the same person who wrote the movie's description...they couldn't even decide on one title! It's all over the place. Oh, and the 10 star ratings have written no other reviews - just this movie. It's quite telling when the filmmaker has no faith in their own work. I wasted time on this dud thanks to dishonesty. Do NOT recommend.
