This show is basically an abomination to the original one. i understand that its targeted towards an younger audience but the only thing that you'll get out of this is a brainwashed stupid child.

Seriously, this is like a dumbed down version of the original H2O. The character designs are okay, but the first episode of this show wasn't nearly as good or intriguing as the original H2O series' first episode. Also, the fact they made the sea creatures talk was a big turn-off. This is like if H2O got mixed with the later seasons of Winx Club in a freak experiment. The animation isn't that good, the acting isn't that good either, and plus, it doesn't seem like H2O at all.
I'm sure my review is a bit blinded by nostalgia, but I'll still put it here anyways.
I really liked this show, and have been rewatching it. The animation is cute and the characters are fun together. A lot of people say that the characters are bland and similar, and while not untrue, it doesn't make them less fun to watch. They have fun together and honestly just fill me with a sense of joy. The dialog can be a little forced sometimes, but I honestly don't mind. I think it's overall a pretty fun show.
(It should also be said that I haven't seen the original show, as it just never really made it's way into my life)

I can see why a kid wouldn't mind the animation and acting but the voice acting really doesn't do it for me. The show's quality isn't too good and its a major turn off to me, there isn't much substance or plot too. (I also feel like adding the talking animals was a really lazy idea but i guess its fine)
The show could've have the potential. However, I find China's flash animation greatly limit such potential to the animated adaptation to H2o Just add water. I like how the sea life talk to the mermaids, reminds me of the little mermaid. It's a shame that the show got cancelled as there isn't much extra substance to the point where the show got cancelled.
Flash animation also turned me off though I do like the anime designs. The changes in some of the characters also turn me off as well. The character designs are cute but I wish they thin the eyebrows and raise the stakes more for the show such as sirens. The show can be salvageable for something else.

- AnecdotesThe first episode is basically a retelling of how the trio became Mermaids, which was seen in the original live action series. In this version, after entering the Moon Pool, the girls are then exposed to the Moon Light, which transforms them into Mermaids. But in the original version, they turn into Mermaids, a day after they enter the Moon Pool.
