Charlotte Cardin and her album 99 Nights lead the nominations for the 2024 Juno Awards, Canada’s version of the Grammys, which were announced on Tuesday.
The Montreal pop singer, who was the big winner at the 2022 Junos where she picked up four trophies, will compete this year for best single, best album, best artist, best songwriter, best pop album and in the Fan Choice category.
Grammy winner Daniel Caesar and Nicholas Durocher, also known as Talk, follow Cardin with five nominations each for the 53rd edition of Canada’s music awards to be handed out on March 24 in Halifax. The ceremony will be hosted by Nelly Furtado.
Caesar and Durocher will both compete in the best single and best album of the year categories against Cardin. Other Canadian artists with three nominations each include Allison Russell, Aysanabee, Connor Price, Dvbbs, Lauren Spencer Smith and Tate McRae.

On Monday night, the 2023 Juno Awards, hosted by Simu Liu, are taking place live from Edmonton’s Rogers Place with performances by Jessie Reyez, Tate McRae, Tenille Townes and more, plus an epic performance that will spotlight 50 years of Hip Hop.
From the Opening Night Awards, which took place on Saturday March 11, to the annual big awards ceremony, broadcasted live on TV, artists including The Weeknd, Arkells and more have already taken home some of the night’s biggest awards, and some even broke records.
