Exclusive: The meteoric rise and spectacular fall of of two ambitious Swedish city boy cousins will be told in a TV4 drama that Viaplay Content Distribution is taking international.

Based on real-life events, Golden Boys will tell the story of recently-released white collar criminal Joachim Posener and his flamboyant cousin, Thomas Jisander, who hatch a plan to create bold, illegal business ventures. Posener orchestrates the largest fraud in Swedish financial history, with Jisander by side, but when a journalist begins digging into their affairs, their glamorous world begins to crumble.

Adam Lungren, Erik Svedberg-Zelman and Viktor Björkberg star in the four-part series, which is for TV4 in Sweden and made by Quicksand producer Flx as a co-production with Film i Väst.

Viaplay Content Distribution has boarded the anticipated drama series “Vanguard,” a gripping portrayal of Swedish media mogul Jan Stenbeck played by Jakob Oftebro.

Produced by Flx for Svt in collaboration with New8 Alliance, the five-part series was directed by Goran Kapetanović.

“Vanguard” was penned by Alex Haridi, Lotta Eriksson (“The Hunt for a Killer”) and Helene Lindholm (“The Hunt for a Killer”), based on Per Andersson’s acclaimed biography “Stenbeck: A Biography of a Successful Businessman.”

Viaplay Content Distribution has boarded international sales rights to the series and will unveil the first episode to buyers during Viaplay Content Distribution’s London Screenings event in February.

The show charts Stenbeck’s “transformative 1970s New York years to his meteoric rise and enduring legacy in Sweden’s media landscape. It chronicles the high-stakes deals, groundbreaking innovations, and the family rivalries that shaped his life.
