Slime City Massacre Official Trailer Now Live!
It's been almost exactly one year to the day since we first started reporting on director Gregory Lamberson's Slime City Massacre, and now we finally have a trailer to go with the poster and character sheets released thus far.

The film, a sequel to Lamberson's 1980's cult hit Slime City, stars Jennifer Bihl, horror author Kealen Patrick Burke, Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins, and Slime City veterans Robert C. Sabin, Mary Bogle, T.J. Merrick, and Dick Biel. Brooke Lewis and Tommy Sweeney provide additional support.

Slime City Massacre is set in the ruins of midtown Manhattan seven years after a dirty bomb decimates the financial district. Four squatters discover a supply of “Himalayan yogurt” and “Zachary Devon’s Home Brewed Elixir.” The concoctions turn each survivor into a slime oozing monster compelled to murder as they are possessed by the spirits of cultists who committed suicide decades earlier. Sabin appears as Zachary in flashbacks,...

Slime City Massacre Official Poster Revealed!
The more we see of director Gregory Lamberson's Slime City Massacre, the more we dig its sleazy, retro vibe. And along those lines, the filmmakers have released the new official poster for the film, which was created by the sleaziest, most retro guy we know: Stephen Romano!

Lamberson described the one-sheet as follows: "It has a blend of 70's sci-fi/80's horror that the film celebrates." In addition, Romano created 15 paintings that will be used in the film's opening title sequence.

You may recall that Romano is the man behind Shock Festival, a novel that pays homage to the schlock and B-movies genre by creating a history of visuals and stories about films that only exist in the depths of his massive imagination. In addition, February 9, 2010, will see the release of a multi-volume DVD collection (also titled Shock Festival) of rarities Romano dug up with some friends that not...

Sabin appears as Zachary in flashbacks, and Bogle returns as her Slime character, now called “Swan.

Slime City Massacre wraps; exclusive pics
Writer/director Gregory Lamberson announced that shooting has been completed on his new sequel Slime City Massacre, and sent along some exclusive photos (see ’em below). The movie, which shot for 19 days on assorted Buffalo, NY locations, follows survivors of a dirty bomb attack on Manhattan as they become the victims of an elixir that turns them into gooey creatures possessed by the spirits of long-dead cultists.

“Despite our low budget, this was the biggest film I’ve ever worked on,” says Lamberson of Massacre, which stars Jennifer Bihl, Kealan Patrick Burke, Fangoria Radio’s Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins, Brooke Lewis, Tommy Sweeney, Roy Frumkes, Eric Mache, original Slime City lead Robert C. Sabin and Lloyd Kaufman. “We had four characters who become Slime Heads, five who were mercenaries, eight who were cannibals and 50 homeless people. My director of photography, Chris Santucci, did some amazing shots and the entire cast performed beyond my wildest expectations.

Slime City Survivor series goes on-line
Filmmaker Gregory Lamberson sent along word that he and his cohorts on Slime City Massacre, the sequel to his 1988 splatter flick (see our last report here), have started posting Slime City Survivor webisodes chronicling the making of the movie. You can check out the first two entries, focusing on the project’s makeup FX, below.

“These days, it’s almost a necessity to shoot behind-the-scenes footage for marketing purposes,” Lamberson says. “I thought, ‘Why wait until the film is finished and out on DVD for people to see what the cast and crew experience? It’s more interesting—and possibly more dramatic—for people to follow the production’s progress on-line almost as it happens, sort of like Project Greenlight did on cable TV.”

You can keep up with the Slime City Survivor webisodes at its YouTube page as new episodes are posted, featuring on-set footage and cast/crew interviews.
