American Satan is the kind of film that might very well pop up as an Alamo Drafthouse Weird Wednesday screening in the coming years. L.A. Slasher: “Los Angeles, California (February 6, 2015) – The Martin Owen-directed feature film “L.A. Out of the Dark Release Details and Photos: “Vertical Entertainment and Participant Media today announced that Vertical has acquired U.S. rights to Participant’s supernatural thriller Out of the Dark, and slated the film for an early 2015 theatrical release.

Starring Julia Stiles, Scott Speedman, and Stephen Rea, Out of the Dark is a ghost story set in South America, where a young family’s new life turns from promising to terrifying when they are forced to confront ancient legends, ghosts, and a haunting family secret.

Social satire horror film L.A. Slasher is opening and closing the 2014 Salt Lake Comic Con, running September 4-6; and if you'll be there, we have all the details you need right here, including a look at the Con's guest list, which is pretty impressive considering it's only their second year.

L.A. Slasher, directed by Martin Owen and produced by Jeffrey Wright and Daniel Sollinger (Girls Against Boys, The Alphabet Killer), will have a special advance screening to open the festival and a midnight screening to close it out.

Salt Lake Comic Con 2013 was the largest first-year comic convention in North American history and the largest convention ever to take place in Utah. This year’s event will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

'Death to Reality' cries out the new trailer so much so that you could be mistaken to think that that is the actual title to the feature from writer/director Owen. 'L.A.
