Andrew Lancel has said that he would be "first there" if The Bill ever returned.
The actor played Detective Inspector Neil Manson from December 2003 until the show's conclusion in August 2010.
Asked if the show would ever return, Lancel told Digital Spy: "If it was Deal or Deal back in the day and they said, 'Do you want to do 27 years?'. You probably would have said 'Deal'!
"I did seven on it. Would it come back? I'd be first there if it was the same team. It is still on everywhere, thank god. I think The Bill is on every day somewhere in the world.
"Of course, I'm very honoured to be part of that. It's nice when you look back on stuff and I had a good run on telly."
