Dublin (Ireland), Sep 20 (Ians) Off-spinner Simi Singh was on Tuesday selected ahead of Andy McBrine as the third spinner in the Ireland squad for the Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia starting next month.

With George Dockrell and Gareth Delany doing well this season, the selectors decided to pick one spinner in the 15-member squad and Simi Singh got the nod.

“One of the most considered decisions we had to make was around our spin bowling options. With George Dockrell and Gareth Delany both having an impact this summer and the variation they bring to the attack, it came down to making a choice between Simi Singh and Andy McBrine.

“Andy can feel very unfortunate to have missed out this time, but we believe Simi offers more variation on Australian wickets with his ability to take the ball away from both right and left-handers,” Cricket Ireland’s chief selector Andrew White said.

Towards the end of last week we revealed the new poster for new found footage creature feature 'Area 407' (previously known as 'Tape 407'). The Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin helmed horror flick unleashed a very familiar looking poster which has got to have been heavily influenced by George A Romero's 'Diary of the Dead' one-sheet. Thankfully however this new poster is a tad more original although it does sort of scream 'Jurassic Park III' to me. After debuting the first official poster for Area 407 last week, a second one has arrived, and of course we have it for you right here. The film will be available nationwide on IFC Midnight cable VOD and digital outlets and in select theaters on April 27, 2012.

IFC Films has debuted the first trailer and poster for Area 407, which debuts on VOD formats and in select theaters April 27. Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin direct this found footage horror tale about a plane that crash lands at a secret testing facility. Check it out.

The relentless weather attack causes panic and terror amongst the passengers until the plane ultimately crashes in a remote government-testing reserve, Area 407. Through footage captured by two teenage sisters, the accident and crash lead to further events that should not be viewed by the faint of heart. As they continue to film, it becomes apparent that the remaining survivors of Flight 37A may not survive the night.

Michael Friedman is quite possibly the Sly Stallone of web series. And if that’s the case then The Super Man is his Rocky. The Philly native, an actor-writer who now calls La home, is no stranger to the comparison, having worked a healthy adoration of the famed boxer into his self-portrayed lead character Mike, the Super of a East La apartment building. This is something Friedman knows all too well, having been a real-life building superintendent since moving out to La to pursue an acting career. Over a year ago, its four-part pilot hit the web standing out as one of the better indie web comedies that year. The positive reception was enough for Friedman and his team to head back into production on a full season of the series. The new season, which they are calling Season 2, premieres online tomorrow online with three new episodes every two weeks.

Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley declared the day “ER Day”. The day saw filming of the very last episode of “ER” ever since its beginning in 1994. These shots were obtained in Chicago at Broadway Avenue and Lawrence Avenue under the Cta red line.
