David Howarth(1912-1991)

From 1940, worked as a British naval operative engaged in the Shetland Bus, a clandestine pipeline moving agents between Norway and the Shetlands.Lieutnant Howarth RN, a Cambridge graduate in history, was second-in-command of the mission, which also included taking in Norwegian refugees and the training of spies and saboteurs to be infiltrated into German-occupied Norway.
