- Has claimed to be the only person to have performed sex on film in the '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s (although his earliest films were silent stag loops and it is unclear if, in fact, he began participating in such films before 1970.
- Eric entered a scholarship competition from ABC-TV. Out of 24,000 entrants, only 16--including Edwards--received two-year scholarships through the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. For his audition he played a part from "The Taming of the Shrew", a role he's been unable to master in real life, and earned a scholarship to the Academy. After graduating from the Academy in 1967 and receiving his diploma from the hand of actress Helen Hayes, he signed with the William Morris Agency (under his real name of Rob Everett). He did "straight" acting over the next eight years, performing regularly on stage at summer stock programs around the country and appearing in commercials for Gillette, Coleco Toys, Close-Up toothpaste and other products.
- Studied drama at Baylor College in Waco, Texas from 1963-1965. He earned a two-year scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he would graduate in 1967. He subsequently also further studied acting under noted acting coaches David LeGrant and Sonia Moore.
- In June 1999, "Linda Alexander" published (through www.pulpless.com) a biography of "Eric Edwards" entitled "Dorothy from Kansas Meets the Wizard of X." The book is largely based on her interviews with Eric and his friends during 1989-1990.
