- Long time presenter of the BBC TV programme "Record Breakers", based on the Guinness Book of World Records, and holder of several tap-dancing records.
- Versatile entertainer -- singer, comedian, dancer and trumpet player. First came to the fore during the 1950's in his sketch show "New Look".
