Graduated from Duke University.

Garnered his role as coroner's assistant Gary Scott in Rob Zombie's Halloween II based on a personal recommendation to Zombie from Sid Haig. Has since appeared in several more Zombie films.

Was born in Ystrad Mynach, Hengoed, Wales, and moved to the U.S. at a young age, growing up in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.

Attended Western Reserve Academy (Class of 1983) in Hudson, Ohio.

His family emigrated to Atlanta, Georgia from South Wales in 1967.

Studied acting in New York at the Michael Chekhov Studio under Jim Boerlin and Beatrice Straight and in London at The Mountview Theatre School and the School for the Science of Acting under esteemed acting teacher Sam Kogan.

Editing his first film he wrote and directed, entitled "Adam". (juin 2008)

His first ever acting role was as Judge Danforth in Arthur Miller's The Crucible while a student at W.R.A. in 1982.

Is one of three actors from the Batman films to also appear in the Hannibal Lecter films. Tracey Walter appeared in Batman (1989) and Le silence des agneaux (1991), Gary Oldman appeared in Hannibal (2001) and Batman: Le commencement (2005), and Brake appeared in Batman: Le commencement (2005) and Hannibal Lecter: Les origines du mal (2007).
