[on composing the score for 'Once Upon a Time'] I long ago gave up trying to predict popular tastes. I stopped thinking about whether something would be a success or not. I know that when I read the script I thought, 'Well, even if people decide they don't want to watch it, even if it falls apart and goes down and is not as successful as we'd all like it tho be, at least I will have taken on this challenge and seen what I can do to make this as good as I possibly can'. It's all about risk taking.
