In September of 1972, she had a dramatic 22-foot fall from a stage during a Lake Tahoe, Nevada concert. She broke an arm, fractured five facial bones, including a smashed cheekbone, and had a concussion. 10 weeks later to the day, she was back on stage in Las Vegas.
