His draft of the screenplay for Juge Dredd (1995) was darker, less goofy, and more serious, after the director hired two of his friends to rewrite Wisher's script, making it more comic book like, Wisher left the project. As a form of an apology, producer Andrew G. Vajna offered Wisher the chance to rewrite the script for Marche ou crève: Vengeance définitive (1995), which was in production.
