President Barack Obama shared his birthday with one of the most influential celebrities in the world, Oprah Winfrey. Obama, who turned 49 on Wednesday, August 4, celebrated his special day at one of his hometown's best restaurants, Graham Elliot in Chicago.

Beside having Winfrey as the company, Obama was also joined by Oprah's famous best pal Gayle King, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and his longtime pals Eric Whittaker and Marty Nesbitt. USA Today reported that the U.S. President, who opted a dark jacket, white shirt and no tie, spent more than three hours at the restaurant and left about 10:50 P.M.

As for first lady Michelle Obama, she missed the low-key birthday party because she has been on vacation in Spain along with daughter Sasha, while daughter Malia is away at camp. Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King joined President Barack Obama on his birthday Wednesday evening dinner in Chicago.

The party dined at the Graham Elliot Restaurant in Chicago spending more than three hours at the birthday dinner with several of Obama closest Chicago friends - Eric Whittaker, Marty Nesbitt and Valerie Jarrett - as well as Oprah and Gayle, in company.

Journalists accompanying him reported Obama in a good mood as he left the restaurant. He smiled and waved to a crowd of about 75 people who had been waiting nearby for hours and cheered as he walked to an awaiting SUV.

The restaurant is owned by Graham Elliot Bowles, who was a contestant on Top Chef Masters. He describes his restaurant as Chicago's first "Bistronomic" restaurant. Basically, it's funky food. The menu features eclectic flavors and twists on the usual fare - root beer bbq sauce.
