It's been a rough time being a Scooby-Doo fan. In the last couple of years, Warner Bros. has canceled the Scoob! sequel as a tax write-off, pulled some of the fan-favorite shows off HBO Max, and stopped producing the direct-to-video film series that helped introduce new generations of kids to the franchise for decades. However, the merchandise is still keeping the franchise alive with Scooby-Doo now taking over this classic board game.
Scooby-Doo has officially crossed over with Operation. This iconic game centers around players trying to peacefully take harmful inanimate objects out of a patient’s body. You need to have steady hands or else you're going to hit the edge of the opening. This makes your board buzz in one of the most anxiety-riddled sounds you'll ever hear. The Scooby-Doo version comes with a groovy twist. Instead of operating on a human, fans will be working on the Mystery Machine.

With the spooky season right around the corner, it’s time once again for horror fans to start planning their various genre marathons. You can't have one without an injection of horror comedy. The king of that sub-genre over the last six decades has been Scooby-Doo. Mystery Inc. has been part of pop culture since 1969 with a Coolsville full of groovy merchandise. Now, as fans wait for the next iteration of the franchise, Scooby-Doo gets a pair of new Funko Pops.
The two new Funko Pops are Scooby-Doo and his best pal Shaggy Rogers. However, there's a cinematic twist. The hungry duo are at the movies, and both are wearing vintage 3D glasses and eating popcorn. They're most likely watching a Vincent Van Ghoul marathon. Since the franchise’s 50th anniversary in 2019, Funko has made a ton of Scooby-Doo Pops, including the main gang of Fred, Daphne, and Velma. Scream has become one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time. Each movie is known for Ghostface, a masked killer who targets numerous unsuspecting people. The first movie came out in 1996, and there have since been six completed movies, with Scream 7 in development.
Two of the iconic characters from the original Scream movie are Billy and Stu. These characters are played by Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard, respectively. Billy and Stu are revealed to be the Ghostface killers and are killed by the end of the movie, and thus are not main characters in future films.
Both actors have continued to have active careers, but have not had a horror reunion in years. Lillard played Shaggy in the live-action Scooby-Doo movies, whereas Ulrich's recent roles include parts in Supercell and Parish. Now, however, the pair of Scream actors get to reunite for another horror film.

Man's best friend applies to superheroes as well, as perhaps the most popular dog in the world of comics is none other than Krypto! While this high-energy, superpowered canine is no stranger to the world of superheroes and supervillains, arriving in 1955 via DC Comics' Adventure Comics No. 210, he's far from the center of attention when it comes to the likes of Superman.
For years, Krypto had made several appearances in television, video games, and films, but with the release of James Gunn's Superman, a whole new generation can discover and fall in love with the four-legged, loyal yet destructive force. His unmistakable yet subtle design of a white, short-haired dog breed, red cape, Superman symbol collar, and wagging tail in tow is nothing short of brilliant.
Of all of Krypto's appearances, we chose our five favorites from the likes of live-action DC television shows to the crossover of a lifetime!

Have you ever watched a film or television show where you saw an actor in a role and thought it was so perfectly cast that you couldn't imagine anyone else in the part? Hollywood doesn't care, though, as no one is deemed indispensable in the entertainment industry. If there's money to be made, and the actor plays hardball for a return, they will be replaced -- heck, studios are already trying to figure out the loopholes around using AI for digital likenesses.
There's a rare breed of actors who own pivotal roles, though. It's to the point where they have become intrinsically linked to the characters they play. If they were ever replaced, let's just say that the audience wouldn't react well to the recasting news. This isn't to say that studios and networks won't try, but everyone knows in...

It was announced today that comedian and actor Aaron Berg would be the new co-host of The Sdr Show. The Sdr Show host and GaS Digital Network co-owner Ralph Sutton made the announcement.
Aaron is a permanent fixture in the NYC comedy scene, performing nightly and continuing to set the bar for comedy greatness. His humor transcends the stage and into his personal life, where he thrives as a dedicated father and husband.
“I am beyond excited to take the co-host chair on the Sdr show. My favorite things in life are sex… and to a much lesser extent, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll,” said Berg. “Although I am sober, I really respect people who can handle sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll in perfect harmony. Hanna-Barbera Productions has cranked out numerous cartoons over the decades. Many of them have been lost to the annals of time, like "Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles," however, there's no denying the studio produced some all-time classics, and few have been as enduring as "Scooby-Doo."
"Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" debuted in 1969 and had a solid, repeatable format: The talking Great Dane, Scooby-Doo, along with his pals — Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred — drive around solving mysteries. The gang comes across some spooky locale and gets told that a ghost or monster of some kind is freaking everyone out. After some shenanigans, they capture the creature, only to pull off the mask to reveal it was a regular human being all along. However, the key to Scooby-Doo's longevity is that the franchise is constantly changing, whether it's animation styles or comedic sensibilities.

In 2023, Blumhouse gleefully jumped on the string of video game to film adaptations, bringing Scott Cawthon’s beloved horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s to a chilling feature-length life. The movie proved to be an incredible success at the box office, earning well over $297 million globally before its run came to an end — and that’s on top of the fact that the title dropped the same day on Peacock. As is the case with most works that celebrate that kind of achievement, fans were quickly asking when they could expect a sequel. Although it may have taken longer than the following would have liked, a follow-up was officially announced in April of last year. Now that we’re only six months away from the film’s debut, many are wondering what they can expect when Freddy Fazbear returns for his next murderous spree.

Matthew Lillard contains multitudes. Across decades, the actor and entrepreneur has needled a distinct tattoo of himself onto the chest of popular culture. His boisterous character work in early films like Hackers, Scream, Slc Punk, and Serial Mom quickly left a permanent imprint on both genre and alternative cinema.
Yet, as his career turned the page toward more mainstream fare, it left no less of a cult residue for generations of weirdos. His perfect casting as Shaggy, the stoner-coded sweetheart of the Scooby-Doo franchise, remains a key figure in the zeitgeist. And Thirteen Ghosts, where he completely steals the show, is a stone-cold horror classic and an all-time personal favorite.
Now, with The Life of Chuck, Mike Flanagan’s latest theatrical adaptation of a Stephen King tale, Lillard embarks on yet another new chapter creatively. The film is a genre-bending story about three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz.

Who doesn’t love a good crossover? Some of audiences very favorite episodes are the ones where characters from an entirely different show pop up, like when two “ER” doctors showed up on “Friends,” when Sam and Dean got sucked into an episode of “Scooby-Doo,” or, most recently, when “9-1-1” LAPD sergeant Athena Grant took an unplanned cruise aboard the Odyssey.
Most of the time, these special episodes happen because they are on the same network, or are from the same producer, but sometimes they just happen because they are entertaining as hell … or the show’s creators are big fans of each other, as was the case with Quinta Brunson of “Abbott Elementary” and Rob McElhenney of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
Here are some of our favorite TV crossovers:

All goes wrong in the indomitable Gaulish village when the Roman conqueror Julius Caesar sets his eye on them. Based on the original French comics of the same name, Netflix’s new animated miniseries, Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight, is a sharp and entertaining series, blending clever wit with brisk, well-paced storytelling. The show basically is an almost perfect recipe for a good old laugh.
Spoilers Ahead
What happens in the show?
The Big Fight begins in 78 BC, and we see two best friends, Asterix and Obelix, who are nothing but absolute babies. Due to a silly bet with a bully called Cassius Ceramix, the two friends sneak into the Druid Getafix’s hut late at night. Getafix has been working on creating a magical potion his entire life, but he’d never managed to do so. When tiny Obelix tastes the potion, he rates it as bland and decides to add strawberries,...

After joining Prime Video's Cross for its second season, Matthew Lillard is sticking around the Amazon-owned streaming service for its upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie.
According to Deadline, Lillard has entered talks to join Carrie, although character details remain undisclosed at this time. If he does end up joining the hotly anticipated reboot, it would reunite him with Mike Flanagan, his director on the upcoming The Life of Chuck, which is coincidentally also based on a King story. Lillard's Carrie casting also comes roughly two months after he landed a recurring role in the second season of Marvel Television's Daredevil: Born Again.
While Lillard has worked steadily in Hollywood since 1990, the actor remains best known for two of his earliest roles — Stu Macher/Ghostface in Scream (1996) and Shaggy Rogers in Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). A generation of kids grew up watching Raja Gosnell's 2002 live-action comedy flick "Scooby-Doo," an adaptation of Hanna-Barbera's long-running Scooby-Doo cartoon shows from the 1970s. In the film, Freddy, originally voiced by Frank Welker, was played by Freddie Prinze, Jr., and Shaggy, originally voiced by Casey Kasem, was played by Matthew Lillard. Prinze was squarely in the public eye after starring in hit films like "She's All That" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer," while Lillard was famous for his turns in "Hackers," "Scream," and "Slc Punk!" Lillard, incidentally, was also in "She's All That." Both actors were very much their generation's "It" boys, and the decade proved to be very lucrative for them both.
Well, "Wing Commander" notwithstanding.
"Wing Commander" is not well-remembered by too many people. It was based on a series of 1990s "Wing Commander" video games created by Chris Roberts, who also directed the film.

These days, it feels like James Gunn is at the center of the universe. With an incredible run at Marvel Studios thanks to his acclaimed "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, Gunn has also made a name for himself in bringing some of the best film and television series based on DC Comics. His bold, abrasive, yet surprisingly sweet take on "The Suicide Squad" helped rehabilitate that series' brand reputation amongst audiences, and the sequel series "Peacemaker" is one of the few remnants of the now-defunct DC Extended Universe that will be implemented into the canon of the new Dcu, which Gunn himself is the creative spearhead of, thanks to his position as the co-chairman and co-ceo of DC Studios.
We can debate about whether or not James Gunn's plans for the canon of the new Dcu will confuse general audiences, but it is clear that based on his critical success...

Scooby-Doo has to be the hardest-working canine in Hollywood. That poor pup can’t catch a break, and it looks like the Great Dane is going to Netflix.
Seriously, though, there have been countless animated Scooby shows and countless movies. However, The Mystery Machine is getting the live-action treatment again.
Netflix is bringing Scooby-Doo into the real world for more hijinks with grumpy older men disguised as ghosts.

Daredevil isn't the only Born Again character receiving a comics-accurate suit in Season 2. New set photos have confirmed that Wilson Bethel's Bullseye will also be sporting a more comics-accurate costume next season.
Shared across the social media platform X, the new set photos feature Bethel back in the Bullseye costume seen in the Born Again series premiere. However, as pointed out by MCU Report, some subtle changes have been made to the suit. In addition to added texture, a faint bullseye can be spotted on the headpiece just above Bethel's eyes. While not as prominent (or white) as the one in the comics, it's still a noticeable improvement over the pseudo-Bullseye costume used in Season 1. Check out the new Born Again Season 2 set photos below.

Scooby-Doo has been a fixture in pop culture for over fifty years, spanning dozens of hits, classic television shows, and animated films. The basic story sees Scooby-Doo, a cowardly but lovable great dane, go on spooky adventures with his four friends, Shaggy, Velma, Fred and Daphne, across the world to solve terrifying mysteries with ghouls, goblins and more. While Scooby-Doo didn't coin the term, it's probably the most famous example of the monster-of-the-week formula, where characters encounter and combat a new villain or monster in every episode. The franchise has seen many hits, such as shows like Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, What's New, Scooby-Doo? and Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated, as well as many hit movies like Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.
However, the franchise has recently died down due to a lack of interest. Although Scooby-Doo has faced low points like this before, he's never been out of...

Scooby-Doo: Where Are You? premiered on CBS in September 1969, creating a legacy that would span generations of fans. According to a Cartoon Research article, the "beloved format and characters almost didn't make it to television" until Fred Silverman changed it into what soon became a hit for "young and older audiences."

The eight-episode series will focus on the origins of the Mystery Inc. gang, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Freddy, and their first meeting with the loveable pooch of the title, who comes into their lives after witnessing a supernatural murder.
The official synopsis (via Toonado.com) reads: “During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.

It’s true, there are plans for a live-action series of Scooby-Doo. Netflix has just announced that a brand new series has been given the green light. We’ll be seeing Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, and all the gang on our screens again, but not as animated cartoons. This will be the first-ever series of the classic cartoon show to be made as a live-action TV series.
Sure, we’ve had some movies in that format over the years, with Scooby-Doo (2002), and the inevitable follow-up, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). Both scored big box office success, grossing a combined $430 million worldwide. And we've had a couple of TV movies with Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (2009) and its sequel, Scooby-Doo! Curse Of The Lake Monster (2010).
But that's a while ago now, and the ever-popular characters merit an exciting new venture and an up-to-date approach. It was talked about in 2024 but the Netflix green light confirms...

Marvel Television is finally giving Charlie Cox's Daredevil suit the Dd chest emblem. New set photos from Daredevil: Born Again have emerged, revealing the new black suit that the Man Without Fear will don in the upcoming Season 2.
Shared on X by MCU Report, the six Born Again Season 2 set photos feature Cox's Matt Murdock in a variety of positions while suited up in the new black Daredevil suit. However, a closer look at the set photos seems to reveal that the Season 2 suit is actually the current red Daredevil suit spray-painted black, as bits of red can be seen poking through the black. The Dd chest emblem is also the same color red as the suit Murdock can be seen wearing in Season 1 of the Disney+ continuation. Check out the Season 2 set photos below.

A new Scooby Doo show from Netflix will mark the first time Scooby and pals will debut on the small screen in live action form.
Netflix has dished out a series order for a live action modern take on Scooby-Doo, the classic Hanna Barbera animation featuring most people’s favourite over-emotive dog and his detective pals.
While we’ve seen two live action films before, the chances of a third film in the series were scuppered by salary negotiations. Still, the evergreen tale of one stoner and his dog (along with a few friends) vanquishing a never-ending trail of masked villains seems to be one that we never tire of and so, yet another version of Scooby-Doo is heading to our screens.

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you? We got some work to do now! This just in: Netflix has officially ordered a live-action Scooby-Doo series, and we couldn't be more excited! Back in April 2024, the show was reportedly said to be in development at Netflix. Now, the streaming giant has given the green light to move forward with production, and the first season will consist of eight episodes.
This won't be the first live-action Scooby-Doo adaptation to hit the screen. The most well-known is the 2002 film Scooby-Doo, starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, and Linda Cardellini, with Neil Fanning providing Scooby's voice. This was followed up by a live-action sequel in 2004, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which saw the return of the original cast.
Then, you had the live-action TV films Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (2009) and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster (2010) and the live-action direct-to-video film Daphne & Velma (2018). With Netflix's upcoming series,...

Scooby-Doo, where are you? The answer is, well, he's on his way to Netflix actually. Yes, 21 years after Mystery Incorporated's lovable Great Dane made his last live-action appearance in the heinously underrated, James Gunn penned Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Scoob and the gang — Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy of course — are set to solve a fresh set of mysteries in an all-new origin series for the streamer, created by Josh Appelbaum (From) and Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji: The Next Level).
Scoob and his mystery-solving human pals have been an iconic force in popular culture for over half a century at this point, with Hanna Barbera's original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? dating all the way back to 1969 and an eye-watering 13 more toon shows and 43 animated films having followed in the years since. For this self-ascribed "modern reimagining" of the franchise however, it looks like Appelbaum and Rosenberg are looking to...

Scooby-Doois back, but it won't be how you left it. Netflix is officially tackling the next live-action adaptation of the beloved franchise, this time in the television format. In the early 2000s, there were famously two live-action Scooby-Doo movies made for the big screen, which eventually gained a cult status in the following years. However, Netflix is attempting to make the first modern spin on the property in live-action, this time following the blueprint set by other Hanna-Barbera TV adaptations.
Netflix has officially ordered an eight-episode Scooby-Doo series that will cover the origin of how the titular canine became part of the mystery-solving crew. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg will be handling the project alongside producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman (Berlanti Productions), and André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner (Midnight Radio). Shaggy and Sting appeared on The Tonight Show to perform their latest collaborative single, “Til a Mawnin.” The pair were joined by a live band and two back-up singers for the upbeat performance, which paid homage to reggae music.
The musicians dropped “Til a Mawnin” last month. The track was written by Shaggy, Sting, and Henry “Junjo” Lawes, and was produced by Shaggy and Shane Hoosong. It re-imagines Lawes’ 1981 “I’m Not Getting Crazy” riddim, which has been the foundation for several classic reggae tunes.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are saying goodbye to their current home at ABC and moving to an entirely new situation.
Many of Disney’s ABC New York-based shows are now under one roof, and one lone holdout is also moving.
Kelly became a co-host on Live in February of 2001, and her home has been at the corner of West 67th and Columbus Ave all these years.
The easy commute is ending since the new studio is ready for Kelly and her entourage at Live, and everyone must say farewell to their beloved home.
While Kelly and Mark traveled to Los Angeles, California, to tape a recent Oscars show, the team at home has been busy reading the move.
As Monsters and Critics has reported, critics called Kelly out for her thinness, which is evident throughout her looks at the Oscars.
