The intention, Cate told us, was to make “a timeless, hilarious, watch it every year to find something new Christmas movie…Think Christmas Vacation meets Little Miss Sunshine.”

Like many other announcements, the lineup reveal for the nostalgia festival was put on hold due to the LA wildfires, but it appears there was some miscommunication and the billboard still went up. Besides Rilo Kiley, Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Bloc Party, and the recently reunited TV on the Radio are also set to top the bill.

Back in 2021, singer Jenny Lewis and lead guitarist Blake Sennett reunited for Linda Perry’s Rock-n-Relief livestream benefit. At the time, they hadn’t played together since Sennett joined Lewis onstage at Coachella 2015.

Blake Sennett, who played Joey in the series, originally went by the names Blake Soper and Blake Swendson as an actor, but is credited in his recent musical works as Blake Sennett.

A coming-of-age sitcom that helped define its era and teen culture overall, Boy Meets World ran for seven seasons from 1993 to 2000. The iconic show followed central protagonist Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) from adolescence to adulthood, ending with Cory’s departure from Philadelphia to intern in New York. The show later spawned the sequel series Girl Meets World, which featured both Cory and Danielle Fishel’s Topanga Matthews as the lead character’s parents, and ran from 2014 to 2017 on Disney Channel.

Kirk Baily, the actor best known for his role as dim-witted camp counselor Kevin “Ug” Lee on the early Nickelodeon sitcom “Salute Your Shorts,” died Feb. 27 in Los Angeles. His domestic partner, Ranjani Brow, confirmed that he died after battling lung cancer. He was 59.

Baily got his start as a sound coordinator for the 1988 cult classic “Killer Klowns From Outer Space,” before he was cast in “Salute Your Shorts,” which premiered in 1991. Created by Steve Slavkin and based on a book of the same name he wrote with Thomas Hill, “Salute Your Shorts” premiered July 1991 and ran for two seasons. The series starred Danny Cooksey, Erik MacArthur, Blake Soper, Michael Bower, Trevor Eyster, Venus DeMilo Thomas, Heidi Lucas and Megan Berwick as various campers at the fictional Camp Anawanna. Baily’s character, Ug, acted as an antagonist toward the kids, as well as the most frequent victim of their pranks.

His death was announced by friends on social media. TMZ reports the cause of death as lung cancer based on confirmation from family.

In the two-season Salute Your Shorts set at a teen summer camp, Baily played camp counselor (and butt of jokes and pranks) Kevin “Ug” Lee. Created by Steve Slavkin and produced by Propaganda Films, the series co-starred Danny Cooksey, Erik MacArthur and Blake Soper as several of the campers.

Jenny Lewis and the rest of Rilo Kiley called it semi-quits in 2010, but a new post on the band's Facebook page suggests they're just about ready to strike it up again.

Guitarist Blake Sennett confirmed that the group will not be returning after he and lead singer Jenny Lewis have completed other projects. Lewis has been recently been working with boyfriend Johnathan Rice under the name of Jenny and Johnny. Sennett has been recording material as part of The Elected. What sucks about having a bandmate as genuinely talented, charismatic (and, yes, physically attractive) as Jenny Lewis, lead singer and co-songwriter of Rilo Kiley, is that when you step out for a side-project, it’s tough for listeners to not automatically be a little disappointed by the lack of star power. Movie beauty Winona Ryder has found love with Drew Barrymore's comedian ex-husband Tom Green, according to reports.

The pair was spotted cuddling up at a Hollywood bar last week (13Au08), and pals insist an odd romance is blossoming - just weeks after Ryder split with rocker boyfriend Blake Sennett.

A source tells the National Enquirer, "Winona didn't waste any time. She and Tom were all over each other, laughing and carrying on."

Green was married to Barrymore from 2001 to 2002. Ryder has a long list of exes, including Johnny Depp, Christian Slater, Dave Grohl, Dave Pirner and David Duchovny.

Winona Ryder has split from her musician boyfriend Blake Sennett.

The couple began dating last year, and was even reported to have gotten engaged back in March.

But the wedding rumours proved to be false, and now the romance is off for good, according to People magazine.

A source tells the tabloid the break-up was "tough" on 36-year-old Ryder.
