Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights. We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into our review!
Match #1: Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta def. JetSpeed The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
With Moxley owning back to back victories over “Speedball” Mike Bailey and “The Jet” Kevin Knight, JetSpeed came together to try and stop their losing streak against The Death Riders in tag team action. They were a perfect 4-0 as a team on Collision, but this was their toughest test yet. JetSpeed clearly knew they had to get to work early, and hit stereo planchas onto Moxley and Yuta. After leaving Mox laying on the outside, Bailey and Knight went to work singling out Yuta in the ring. The plan worked beautifully until Moxley recovered. He evened the score,...

Match #1: TNT Championship Match – Kyle Fletcher def. Tomohiro Ishii The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The collision between TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher and Tomohiro Ishii began with both men going nose-to-nose in the center of the ring. Fletcher struck first with a forearm, triggering an extended exchange of heavy shots until a single blow from the champion staggered Ishii. They traded shoulder tackles, with Ishii finally dropping Fletcher with a lariat. A rapid series of counters followed, Fletcher ducking an enzuigiri before both men retreated to opposite corners. Fletcher rolled to the floor to regroup. Back inside, Ishii chopped away at the champion,...

Match #1: Aew World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Quarterfinal – Brodido (Brody King and Roh World Champion Bandido) def. Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Kaun made the tag out to Toa Liona, who called for Brody King to tag in, but Bandido had no intention of leaving the action and stood up to Liona. After a stalemate between Bandido and Liona, King tagged in and the meat was served. The two biggest men in the match traded shots with Liona shockingly walking right through King’s massive chops across the chest. And then one of the best parts of the week,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast once again from the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. Let’s get straight into the review!
Match #1: The Young Bucks def. The Outrunners The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
With the Bucks clearly off their games, the Outrunners got off to a hot start, but it was the former Aew World Tag Team Champions, Matt and Nick, who took control on the outside. Matt even went as far as to hijack the legendary Tony Schiavone’s headset to let the world know that the “superstars” were here and should be afforded the proper respect. Even without their typical executive luxuries, the Bucks obviously still know how to get it done and had Truth Magnum in dire straits. Finally, Magnum was able to find just enough daylight to make the tag to a fired up Turbo Floyd.

Match #1: TNT Championship – Dustin Rhodes def. Lee Moriarty The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Aew Collision kicked off from the Aragon Ballroom in thrilling fashion as Dustin Rhodes defended his TNT Championship for the first time against Ring of Honor Pure Champion Lee Moriarty. Moriarty, accompanied by Shane Taylor, refused an opening handshake, setting an aggressive tone immediately. The bout opened with an exchange of technical holds, Moriarty capitalizing with swift dragon screw leg whips, targeting Rhodes’ left knee relentlessly. Dustin fought through visible pain, rallying with stiff shots and a well-executed snap power slam. Late in the match, after exchanging strikes, Rhodes delivered an atomic drop but Moriarty quickly responded,...

Word has come down from TMZ that WWE legend Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71. Reports are that medics were called to the Clearwater, Florida home of Hogan early Thursday morning, with operators stating it was regarding a "cardiac arrest." He was seen being wheeled into an ambulance on a stretcher as police and EMTs surrounded the area. The news comes just days after Hogan's longtime friend and fellow WWE icon, Jimmy Hart, refuted claims that his health was failing.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, began his career in professional wrestling in the 1970s, wrestling under a number of different personas. He eventually made his way to the WWE (then WWF), appearing as a villain. He left the company after a dispute over his appearance in Rocky III to go wrestle in Japan and the Awa before returning in 1983 and giving birth to Hulkamania, winning...

Match #1: Ricochet def. Ar Fox The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Fox came out aggressive, firing a knee into Ricochet’s midsection and opting for punishment over finesse in the early goings. Ricochet tried to bait Fox into following him into the crowd, but Fox stayed focused, sticking to the ring and delivering a creative leg sweep followed by a spinning suplex that got a two-count. Fox had to keep one eye on the action and one on the outside, as Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona of the Gates of Agony prowled ringside like predators. Midway through the match, Toa Liona made his presence felt with...

Match #1: Paragon def. Kyle Fletcher & RPG Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Early in the match, Paragon strategically targeted Trent Beretta, isolating him from his corner and employing aggressive tandem maneuvers, including a punishing assisted neckbreaker. Once the Don Callis Family managed to turn the tables even just slightly. The action escalated when Lance Archer intervened, choke-slamming Kyle O’Reilly onto the ring apron. Match #1: Kevin Knight def. Shelton Benjamin and Nick Wayne The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The bell rang, and the action erupted immediately. Benjamin swiftly leveraged his strength advantage against Knight as Wayne scampered to the outside, landing powerful strikes and dominating exchanges early. Nick Wayne, agile and opportunistic, capitalized on momentary lapses in attention, landing swift strikes and precise maneuvers, including a pinpoint standing dropkick alongside Knight that sent Benjamin staggering out of the ring. With Benjamin momentarily incapacitated outside, Wayne and Knight engaged in a lightning-fast exchange, after Wayne made it seem as if he was going to enter into a temporary alliance with Knight, then elbowed him in the mouth.

The match started rapidly, Fox aggressively taking the fight directly to Moxley, quickly staggering the champion with explosive strikes and a sharp dropkick. Moxley soon countered decisively, flooring Fox with a perfectly-timed right hand out of mid-air. With Wheeler Yuta watching intently at ringside, Moxley began asserting dominance through punishing strikes and submissions, including a ruthless head-and-arm triangle choke using the top rope for extra leverage. The match began with electrifying exchanges, notably Bandido showcasing agility with a beautiful flying headscissors on Takeshita. The pace remained relentless, Hechicero creatively tying Daniel Garcia in a hammerlock hold before executing a devastating, innovative maneuver described aptly by Excalibur as a “mad scientist bomb”.
