His last film Takaya dlinnaya, dlinnaya doroga (1972) was in production in 1970, when Luspekayev died. The film was completed and released after his death.

Worked on stage at the Bolshoi Drama Theatre (BDT) in Leningrad, 1959 -1967.

At the age of 26 he was already overtaken by a vascular disease. After three years he had to amputate the feet of both legs.

He graduated from the Theater School named after M.S. Schepkin (1950) in Moscow.

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1965).
