Charly is a drummer in college band sweet, a little geeky, and pretty much invisible to everyone with the exception of her mother Agnes, her father John and her younger brother Emmet who plays keyboards, but most importantly Jack who plays guitar in their band. Charley can't compete with their lead singer Alana, an Instagram influencer with vocals like an angel her own words. So it doesn't come as welcome news when her estranged Aunt Duchess Abess Christina, shows up out of the blue and calmly informs her that she is in fact the heir to the throne of Harmadren following death of the King and his two sons in a terrible boating accident, also she was adopted by her parents when her mother Princess Alexandra had her out of wedlock and wanted nothing to do with the family. Suddenly Charley's life is thrown into complete overload. She's being taught about scarves, waves, and pears in order to become a perfect Princess, she has to learn the constitution and understand politics of a country she's never been to. Bewildered, angered, and confused, Charly turns for support to Jack, however encouraged by his adventurous spirit and much to the chagrin of her parents and Duches Abess Christina, Charly and Emmet join Jack and Alana on a road trip to the battle of the bands, embarking on a journey to discover Charly's hidden past and find her mother, she isn't ready to be a princess yet. In the midst of her incredible journey she finds that her royal blood is there all along.
