Red Turns Into Blue: Athens, Inside-Out 2 (2021)

From Bill Cody, the original producer of the seminal film Athens, GA/Inside-Out, and Tony Brazier, comes this sequel (of sorts) to the original film. While still music driven, the film traces the rise of a political movement in Athens-Clarke County and how it has impacted the region and the nation. (Along with many other groups in the State of Georgia, of course.) Three years in the making the film examines the rise of the progressive movement in Athens over the last three years from the election sweep in 2018 through to the pandemic and the demonstrations for racial equity this past spring.
