Tiana's award-winning 1995 film, From Hollywood to Hanoi, was the first American film shot in Vietnam after the end of the war. She is currently working on the most extensive project of her career, The General and Me, as part of her Why Vietnam? series. The project is slated to air in 2025, on the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon. The General and Me is the story of her close friendship with the one of the most important men in Vietnamese history: General Giap, a history teacher who made history by liberating his country from the French and US armies.
