If you love noir and being in a world of mystery and luxury this one is for u and flawless acting it's a series for grown ups and kids w attitude. It's visually amazing yet not distracting to what's going on. You also will see more hotel reception desks than in any other film with guys in various moustaches. It's a must see. Impressive that one dude wrote and shot the whole thing. However the cat is the star of the show more Leisurely and observant of all the characters who seem really lost. The clothes are perfect and the woman who is on to Ripley seems like a real boho of the time .. Lenard maltin would give it two and a half stars but from me it's a five bags of popcorn.
Well at least I've never seen anything like it before. The tone is in an uncanny valley between many genres and the main characters are oddly attached to each other. The director credit at the end maybe made it seem better than it is. Some of it is adolescent cleverness. The early stuff he did was hip heaven for us long ago. Not sure what those films would seem like now. It's the best worst movie I've ever seen. If I didn't know the director I'd say it was awful. If you are a person that does drugs it might seem pretty neat. Lots of stars in it you can tell how much other actors like him. Uber hipster before the word existed...
This is a fabulous woman who was in the great His Girl Friday film. Watch that. This is the kind of movie you turn down the volume and make your own funny dialog.
