There is nothing like 90 minutes of implausible plots with incredible weaponry, flight fights, and love.

Heads of State is, ultimately, a buddy movie, well played by both Elba and Cena. Toss in a love interest and all it well.

Would like to watch again just to see how the scenes got made. Amazing chases, everything is always blowing up and on fire or being shot at: breathtaking!

This is the kind of movie that can make you wish you could be in this kind of movie. And there can be no argument that the film does not contain any strong female characters, for the ladies here are monumentally strong, outdoing men, and irredeemably nefarious, out-thinking men.

This cold January I found comfort and delight in this web of human relationships, good and bad. It is rare that a experienced/novice male bond can be portrayed without becoming ham-fisted, but Thursday and Morse strike all the right notes, and weather their burdens, separately and together, very well.

I always found the crimes and crime-solving to be secondary to the exploration of power dynamics across the spectrum of police work, including the novel introduction of a proper female copper. Well done.

The inferior characters were hardly that. Mrs. Thursday turned in a superb performance as a frightened mother who spirals into tranquility the pharmaceutical way, and then some years hence summons the gumption (yes, I said 'gumption') to strike out on her own for a bit. Befitting the times without over-doing it.

Cannot say enough good things about this series. I regret that I will never again be able to see it for the first time, but this will not be my last watch of Endeavor.

This four part series is intended to set the stage for Fleming's post-war life as a novelist and chronicler of enviable male conquests of both the international and romantic sort. When not devising ways to bring England's enemies to their knees, Fleming was busy cavorting with women of the upper class, some of whom he loved, and one of whom killed herself for love.

Hard to look away. If the plots were not enough, the settings and cinematography are breathtaking, whether the scenes be underwater, in the Alps, in the war torn woods,or within exquisite mansions.

All around it would be hard to go wrong with this as it offers something for everyone.
