The main characters are a handful of school staff including Rudy Ledbetter, drama teacher Emily Winters and the maintenance man. There are also a few students, such as Evie (Kitty Sudbery, The Evil Fairy Queen, Christmas with the Pups) and Alice to round out Creep Encounters' collection of potential aliens and/or victims.
Unfortunately, Creep Encounter's low budget does undercut it when it comes to the film's effects. While the alien spiders are passable, things like muzzle flashes and a possessed human getting their head blown off are pretty weak. The severed neck and spurts of animated blood are almost comical, and a good reminder of why using digital gore is almost never a good idea.

Constraints of budget no doubt dictated a good deal to the production of this piece, which would explain the location for the majority of the film. Templeheart Productions are not known for splashing out a pound when twenty pence would do the job, even if it does mean cutting the odd corner, so finding a largely empty car park for a few days of shooting seemed like a grand idea, I'm sure. Never mind that this becomes a dull and staid chasm of grey concrete ever so quickly.
What is pitched on the dvd case is not exactly what you get here (when is it anything else, however). Emblazoned across the top of the box, it loudly exclaims; "THE RAID MEETS DIE HARD", as quoted by movie review website heyuguys. Just how much responsibility that particular movie news source wants to take in this regard is questionable, but it does beg the question of whether they were indeed watching the same film as the rest of us.

Fantastic zombie.creature film! I really enjoyed this and I think the negative reviewers are just plain harsh on this one. The impressively inked up Robert LeSardo, whose involvement in an endless stream of low budget horror flicks has made him a household name (and face) for this sort of thing, starts as tough as nails US Army General Vasquez. The General's unit is defending itself from marauding zombies, who have also overwhelmed the local town, placing huge pressure on the emergency services and causing the occupants to fear for their lives. Just wasn't keen on Lisa Hinds as they could have gotten a much better actress for that part! Bridge of the Doomed is about as good as you expect it to be, but at 79 minutes minus end credits it doesn't outstay its welcome, and some of the military vs zombie attacks are impressively grisly.
