Kaitlin Olsen excels in the lead role and is the main reason for watching this. The cases and solutions are quirky but overall potential is the apt word. There are too many standard tv tropes to make it a stand out show.
That aside it is fun and made me want to search out the French original.
There is some great comic moments and the burgeoning relationships are handled well despite a lack of originality. This is all down to Kaitlin Olsen though.
The biggest problem I had to work hard to ignore though is the free rein there's is given in the and around the investigations. It's all to easy for her to poke around rather than just being called in as the consultant she is supposed to be though.
I nice one to dip and and out of.

This is the great example of a show were you have to stick with it to get the best from it.
To begin with the set up is clear but some of the dialogue and situations are quite formulaic until about half way through. By then a series of twists are introduced and the pace picks up considerably. Given that the whole premise is that several people are lying it does not take any leap to get to the end and say 'well I knew they were lying from the start' That is the whole point of the series. I would wager though that anybody who saw the end coming in the way that it does is almost certainly kidding themselves.
With only eight short episodes it is well worth a watch.
