I set up camp in LA in order to pursue a career in music after having lived most of my life in the Midwest. It was the late 80's and a great move for me in more ways than one. I had originally set out to become the next "Eddie Van Halen," but soon learned that there were about 10,000 guys with the same ambition all living within about 4 blocks from my first humble apartment in Pasadena. So I started to learn about other facets of the music and entertainment industry. I learned a lot about classical compositions, jazz and ambient music. This led to a few jobs scoring movies... and having some of my songs placed in a few "B" type films, (Like PM Entertainment's "Ring of Fire II, Blood and Steel," and Steve Roth's independent film "Vacation Survivors.") That was a great step and it made me feel like I was a big success waiting to happen. Then another ten years went by with not much more than the sound of crickets floating around my musical pasture! So I started reading - and I read a lot! This led to an attempt to develop my own writing skills. Things tend to snowball in this town and somehow I got involved in a little bit of acting. So now I'll take the occasional role in a theater production or so... and when I'm lucky I get to be filmed. Anyway - I continued to work in music as well and recently got a few more scoring jobs and discovered that there is a market for the kind of songs and scores that I like to write. My most recent project is scoring the new film from Nightfall Pictures called Mutation. I'm very proud of the work I've conjured up for this film and look forward to sharing my work with all who'd like to hear it!
