Let me open by stating that, if you are new to the world of Lovecraftian films and cosmic horror, than this is a great little documentary.
If, however, you are already familiar, this merely retreads very worn ground. There is nothing in this film that wasn't covered by Unfilmable in the 90s, or isn't found in works such as The Lurker in the Lobby or The Complete H. P. Lovecraft Filmography. If you are looking for interesting new insights, you will not find them here.
Again though, if all of this is new to you? The information is presented in an easy to digest format that is certain to give a launching point to newcomers.

It might be easy to think that the above title is exaggeration or bloviation, but it isn't. Letterkenny is a show with a huge cast of characters that makes you care about each and every one of them. The show ranges from comedy, to painful drama, and back again in an effortless fashion that is not seen in US television.
What Australia's Mr. Inbetween did for the crime genre, Canada's Letterkenny does for the sitcom, utterly reinventing it in a way that elevates the entire genre.
Sadly, the show has run its course and bowed out after 12 seasons - leaving us wanting more. But, we still have those 12 - flawless - seasons to enjoy again and again.

In 2020, this movie popped up, seemingly out of nowhere. At its heart is a 77 minute 'oner', a true, unbroken take. To say that this is an unparalleled achievement would be an understatement. While there are, technically, longer oners in cinematic history, none of them are dynamic, moving shots like this one. This alone is a reason for a fan of cinema to watch this film.
Yes, it does mean that things get a bit repetitive, and the number of people who charge forward, swords held high, to be cut down without ever lowering their blade, is pretty high but, there need to be a number of simple opponents to sell the tougher ones.
There is little to no introduction to this piece, you need to either be familiar with the story, or try to pick it up quickly and draw your own conclusions. Regardless of how you take the journey, it is amazing.
With a cameraman deftly moving amidst the fighting, there is no other film out there like this one, and it is unlikely that there will soon be another. You want to watch this, you want to enjoy it, and you will.
