First of RIP Tony Todd. I don't know whether his dialogue was scripted or improvised but that hit really hard and gave me a reality check. A legendary man gone.

Final Destination is a movie to settle down and have good time. It's not into deep and not thoughtful in storytelling, but hey they were creative with the deaths and had some cracking moments. Overall the acting is not world class and really poor. You couldn't care less for the characters who are affected by the death. They are way too similar in characteristics. The end fight/action scene was rushed imo but I'm glad it didn't last that long cause the running time was okay. It's not a great movie overall but when you rank it amongst the other movies of that franchise it's really up there to be best or 2nd best.

Ryan Coogler really brought that great touch to black culture and also made clear the issues between black and white in a significant and horror way. I mean I could've imagined this being over the top and executed badly, but NO Ryan Coogler managed to get this done in a great and entertaining way. If you loved his work on Black Panther you'll see resemblances and love connection in the black community. Only minus point I can give is for the native Americans who came in for a brief moment and didn't develop or being mentioned or shown again. I guess the movie was already long enough so there was no space to show them again or engage for the end.

Michael B Jordan did his thing but this time he had to act twins means two different roles. Sometimes I've lost myself cause they were much alike but differentiated at important moments. For example when it comes to money. The one wants to give the hard working slaves a good time even when it means that they don't have enough money, while the other twin is more business strict forward and wants emancipation= everybody has to pay with money.

Elements of old western, horror myths, mandrake and apartheid policy is strongly considered in this film. Definitely one of the best movies of the year !

Channing Tatum was awesome here and watching him running through the Toys R Us joyful bring up my inner child. Often said that he's an underrated actor when it comes to play a character. Some of his characters are much alike but in small details are played differently which makes him solid. Roofman is a real life story and has everything for a great cinema night out. It's hilarious, shocking, sad and lovely. Channing's chemistry with Kirsten was alright. I think they match better in a different setup but she also did well in her role. This movie deserves a general rating between 7-8. It's one of the better movies in an already highly stacked cinema year.
