Oh boy! So much disappointment. Been exciting about this movie, since it was first announced in 2021. I mean how can this fail? It's the director of The Raid and Tom Hardy (which is a great actor). Well... it did fail gloriously. To keep it brief. The fighting scenes are extremely bad choreographed, with a shaky cam. There's a car chasing scene, which is unwatchable ( awful cgi, and bad editing) ; on top of that, is done at night (you can't see what's going on). The characters are bland and boring. There's no intensity. Couldn't feel empathy towards anyone. Such a letdown. If you want an exceptional Hardy character please watch "Taboo". If you want an exceptional Evans directing please watch "The Raid"
This series were a surprise for me. Haven't seen one that is filled with so many funny moments, but at the same time keeping a real and serious intrigue. It is a blend of action, humor, and a touch of romance, making it a refreshing take on the spy genre. The series is packed with clever dialogue and comedic moments that lighten the often intense world of espionage. The central character, played by Noah Centineo, brings a charming and relatable vibe, navigating the cutthroat world of the CIA with a mix of naivety and determination. While it's not your typical gritty spy thriller, the show offers enough action to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The plot is filled with surprising turns that keep you guessing and entertained throughout.
Overall, The Recruit is an enjoyable watch that balances humor and thrills, perfect for those looking for a light-hearted take on spy adventures!

The series strikes a great balance between action and character development. And I mean a lot of character development. ( even the baddies are thoroughly depicted, and you get to kind of " feel" something for them) You'll find yourself rooting for Peter as he navigates a web of conspiracy and danger, all while trying to protect cybersecurity expert Rose. You will connect with the characters on a deeper level. You see Peter's growth as he faces challenges and makes tough choices. Rose's journey is equally compelling, as she sheds light on the complexities of her past and fights for what she believes in.
