This was a case of trusting reviews to watch a movie. It was rated 8.0 I think when I watched it, which is typically really high, but this movie was a disappointment. Honestly the other 5 star reviews sum it up best. It's a fancy soundtrack with a very original way of approaching a narrative. In this case, trying very very hard to be original and not as hard to be actually entertaining to watch. My husband couldn't get over the non-sports cars that could amazingly outrun everything. If I had come in with no expectations, or streamed for free, I probably would have liked it more. But I paid $6 to watch a movie I thought would be good and it just wasn't. Can you believe the Italian Job is rated 7.0 and this movie is 7.6 right now????? That blows my mind!!!!

I honestly don't know what is going on, maybe it's people who have an all or nothing response. I didn't expect this movie to be amazing, but for something streaming free on Prime, I thought it was great! Wonderful cast and acting, good thriller and action. Yeah some things, if done differently would have made this better, in my opinion the finale came out of nowhere and was one more clue that wasn't really needed. A couple of other things, like the father, weren't really sketched out. And I had a hard time buying into the Rachel-Simon relationship. But overall, if you're looking for an entertaining Friday night thriller, I definitely recommend this!

Honestly, I'm surprised there are so many poor reviews for this movie. Yes, granted it's not gonna be my favorite movie and it plays off of some clichés and is vulgar..... but what the heck did these people expect?! Considering it was written and performed by Amy, I'm pretty damn impressed. There were some parts I thought could have been a little different or cut (subway scene to finale), other parts made me laugh out loud and think of this movie in hindsight (calling for the check part). As a feminist, I'm always gonna root for a show that can show a strong female character who's not a size 0 and doesn't mind slutting it up a bit. But I loved the chemistry between the main characters (probably because I wasn't expecting it) and I had a good time watching! I hope Amy keeps it up, she's cool.
