Comedy movies generally start with either good laugh or a lovable character. There are many with bumbling or stupid or awkward heroes that show the lead as silly but lovable. Here, Veer Poddar (lead character) comes across as just a complete idiot who is going to be insufferable.
This is the first comedy that I turned off after about 20 min - just unbearable - in spite of Yami Gautam whose movies I generally love. The actor - Pratik Gandhi seems to have tried but if the writer wrote a poor character, no actor can save it.
Don't waste your time and watch some truly funny movie again - instead of this useless one. There are many - Welcome, Dhamaal, Hungaama etc.

OK, after watching Simba & Sooryavanshi, I should have learnt my lesson. But this showed up on Prime so I watched it. It is as bad as other reviewers have noted. Really bad.
But it is so bad that in an odd sort of way, it is watchable. The tagline should have been - "Can Rohit Shetty do worse than before? Yes, he can and watch him do it with Singham Again!!".
He has mixed stars & Ramayan with his old Singham character like Bhel made outside a park. Except maybe made with a mix of random ingredients. It tastes awful but uniquely awful. Can he do worse? I am confident he will with Chulbul Singham.

I had high expectations from a Neeraj Pandey movie though significantly tempered due to subpar ones like Aiyaary. This one felt like an improvement for sure but still a fair bit short of "A Wednesday" or "Special 26" or "Baby" - to name a few.
Plot is novel and avoids cliches. First half or so felt tight and exciting but then the pace slowed down a bit. Just as you feel like the story is going nowhere, things turned around rapidly with a disappointing ending - created to permit a sequel rather than to conclude the story.
Jimmy Shergill is a phenomenal actor and as expected is super-impressive. Avinash Tiwary fulfills his difficult role - esp opposite Jimmy Shergill - surprisingly well. Tamannah Bhatia is in a non-glamorous role & proves that she is a great actress; not just a glamorous one.
One extra point for avoiding unnecessary songs & distractions. One less for the ending.
