A grotesque spectacle masquerading as horror-comedy, *Return of the Living Dead* is a cesspool of amateurish acting and gratuitous smut. The cast shrieks and flails with all the subtlety of a carnival sideshow, while Linnea Quigley's infamous nude graveyard dance epitomizes the film's juvenile obsession with exploitation over substance . The zombies-oozing and screeching-are the only credible performers, overshadowing the human cast's wooden delivery and cringe-worthy "punk" posturing . Dan O'Bannon's direction wallows in sleaze, trading tension for cheap gags and gore, leaving audiences with a hollow, grimy aftertaste. A nadir of 80s excess and waste.
Total Recall (1990), directed by Paul Verhoeven, is a thrilling blend of action, sci-fi, and mind-bending mystery. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Douglas Quaid, a man who discovers his life may be an implanted memory. Set across a gritty future Earth and a rebellious Martian colony, the film explores identity and reality with satirical flair. Practical effects and a bold visual style make it a standout of its era, while the ambiguous narrative keeps viewers guessing. Both intellectually engaging and action-packed, Total Recall remains a sci-fi classic that still resonates today. Bring back the 90s.
What a roller coaster! Firstly the audience. Yes! We need movies to bring out life and excitement!!! Haven't seen this type of hype since above hers end game. So rhe movie! It was like a musical and only the legend Jack Black can pull off that level of skill as a musician. You can tell that he put a lot of effort into the voice possibly because he may have thought the ivory tower might have changed it to a full animation movie. But without Jack the movie would've been lacklustre. That role was written for him like Ironman was written for RDJ. Thats the working class generation - tick .Momoa played his role to a tee and it was so believable. Everything from the turquoise jacket to the black fingernails he rocked that role. The low key cool vibes, to the girl like screams, Jason was that awesome uncle you wish you had. The 80's generation - tick. All the other actors were amazing! Loved the movie and can't wait for part two. Tick tick tick!!!! Best movie of 2025!!!
