Oh, where do I start. So I have checked out Reelshort in the past, and wasn't very impressed, but the previous commercial peaked my interest. I gave it ago, and I just binged it... It's both hilariously bad that it's a comedy while also being good in other ways.
The entire thing is formulaic, which is understandable, has a really tight budget, and while it tells, it still is respectable for being produced just on people buying coins, a subscription, or just watching ads.
Now the acting. There's something to say that you get the young actors, who are still perfecting their trade, and getting acting credit, to get into larger roles. Maya Jenson who played Hailey, Kendall Leonesio, and Liana Chao all did a pretty amazing job with what they had, and it's honestly impressive. Maya Jenson portrayed a pretty convincing character, and Liana I swear was tapping into her ego to play Candice. The guy who played Luke, just seemed natural at his role. Now the adults... they all are horrible actors! Minus the gym teacher, he seemed to have embraced what it is to be a gym teacher. You might as well have just dropped my sophmore gym teachers personality in him.
Overall if you have time to kill and just want a good laugh, and cringe all the time, this flick is for you.
Just one thing, the story is hilariously disjointed. I swear they took a 12 year old girl from wattpad and had her write the story.

I was not expecting Star trek to pull this off, but overall this special episodes manages to pull off one of the most bizarre and unique Star Trek episode of all time. Was it perfect? No. Was it good? Yeah. But it was fun. When I watched it, I was smiling the entire time. Most importantly I was laughing the entire time. After last week's episode I think it was good for a change. The only issues I had was the mixing, it was pretty bad at times, but what can you expect for a sound crew who only does TV shows, not musicals, and you could tell the weakest songs.
That said, Alan Menken would be proud and so would Howard Ashman.
Best part was the "Klingon Dishonor"
