The squad tries to fix a broken motorbike for a 12 year old patient who had been injured in a fire.
A pretty good Season 4 episode. The first call is a for man trapped in a collapsing house with a gushing oil well. It's a tense and messy rescue.
A boy (Eric Shea from The Poseidon Adventure) is admitted to Rampart with abdominal pain. He is obsessed with medical books. His father says he is a bookworm and tries to toughen him up. Another call has Gage and DeSoto trying to rescue a kid who climbed inside a pipe.
The comedy is supplied by a young man in a delicatessen who has a ring stuck on his finger. He is scared because the ring belongs to the wife of a very large and very angry deli owner. He is played by 7 foot Richard Kiel, later Jaws in the 007 movies. Dixie visits the station to provide a punchline to the motorbike story.

DeSoto picks horses in the races for fun but does not bet money.
One of Season 4's best. Quite a bit of comedy and suspense. The first rescue is an unusual one. A woman fell into a lion's cage at the zoo and gets bitten. Gage goes down to help her but the tranquilized lion is still roaring and stalking. The fireman are called to report of sick person at a strip club. Funny scene when the captain refuses to let Chet go in. A Go Go dancer collapsed on stage, Dr. Brackett finds out she has mononucleosis. More comedy when a middle aged man rides a skateboard and falls on his rear end into cactus. Gage tries it too. A tense rescue as Gage and DeSoto try to help a police officer shot by sniper while the shooter keeps firing at them. Tear gas and a fire starts. Gage and the squad finally get DeSoto to place a bet.

A good episode as we see the aftermath of the three who pulled off the robbery. The mastermind, Eliott Fielding is played by Peter Haskell. He portrayed a psycho stalker in a TV movie "Love Hate Love" the same year as this episode aired. Albert Salmi in one of his many appearances on the series plays Roy Mills, who ends up getting robbed himself when he picks up a pretty blonde in Reno. The third robber is George Whelan (Richard O'Brien) who wants to use the money to open a hardware store in a small town. Fielding wants to win back a woman he loved and lost. Former movie Tarzan Lex Barker plays her father.
