I was 17 years old when it happened. In full cold war. And yes, we were told lies. The Swedish were the first to find out, can you believe that? And this majestic film, gives you all the atmosphere of the accident, the brutality of the regime and the dramatic consequences. Superb acting, accurate reconstruction of the events, great picture. A must watch that helps us not to forget what some parts of humanity can do. The director managed to recreate perfectly the doomed, grey, sad, submissive way people were living in the Soviet Union. It is a tribute also to the heroic actions of people that sacrificed themselves for a better world.

It is an amazing series, like a roller-coaster of the human mind and behavior. Unpredictable, complicated, unique, an enlightening on human darkness. You just stick with it, you see at times your dark nature, you understand how apparently simple choices are important. A mixture of dramma and comedy, cynism and neurotic apotheosis.

Acting is superb. In the beginning I chose to see the series believing it is a series for relaxing and laughing, after 10 minutes I realized that the story was going somewhere else, and that's it! I finished it in 3 days, like a drug. The last episode is the top, is out of the box, is psychedelic. A masterpiece!

This is a masterpiece, a surprise because unexpected. Brilliant story based on true events, but full of symbolisms and deeper meanings that are all connected on the final scenes of the movie. Great directing and acting by Cortelesi, but also great choice of the characters and performancefrom the other actors. The women's universe in Italy back then was complicated and the road to the recognition of their rights was full of obstacles, with many dramatic stories happening. The movie manages also to be ironic and there are moments you laugh. Then suddenly it becomes dramatic again and you want to cry. Then you bacome angry. All these fluctuations are captivating, meanwhile represent the reason why Paola manages to give a powerful message through the art of cinema.
