this movie is the most action packed movie sine drunken master 2 and all 5 of the Bruce lee movies(excluding the acting in game of death),,,god only knows what Hollywood will try and make him star in!!look what they did to Jackie Chan(the shanghai movies were funny though!! i heard that they were making a kung fu movie (david carradine) and that they are looking for their hero!!well then,who'd we have at the moment?? Mr Chan,surely to old,Mr Li ,possibly, tony jaa,,certainly got the moves but his English is not up to scratch, i suppose there is no reason he couldn't use his own language with subtitles??Thai isn't Chinese though is it,,so slight problems there,,what we do have and this guy deserves a lot of credit is donnie yen!! now then anyone who's seen iron monkey will know what I'm talking about..lets just wait and see,,you heard it here first!! try and get a copy of a DVD called spl!!then tell me hes not the man for the job!!!!

as anyone who's seen this little gem what a fun and scary (in a little persons way) short little movie this is,with Mr crosby shining all the way!!my little girl love it and always watches on a dull rainy day!!!now our little lad can have some fun with it as well,all colors and music to sooth on on a rainy bedtime!!just get nice and snuggly with the light down low and watch as yourself and kiddies whoop with delight!!!!if only someone could do the story justice these days!!i loved the Tim Burton one and it deserves a place as a well done movie done Burton style!!!go on go buy a copy and make sure you get a nice big pumpkin to boot!!!!!

i cant believe the comments made about this movie!this has to be Korea's best output in the martial arts genre since musa!!the fights certainly pull no punches you can hear heads and bones crunching!!i suggest you take another look and as you will see this a fine movie!!acting is good,the locations brilliant as the camera takes you around ghetto's to the wondrous scenes in the mountains,the training he puts him self through would make rocky balboa blush!!!the ice climb is excellent,you also get a feel for the period,this guy took no prisoners i can tell you,don't be put off from some reviews see this as a ruff n tumble session of extreme!!the last shot has to be seen to be believed!!!10/10 for a real gem of the martial arts kind!!!
