Other than the attractiveness and charm this film has very little going for it. The script is slow and vague with no suspense or intrigue.
The bright spots are lovely Helena Carter and B girl June Havoc finally getting the full glamour treatment. If asked I bet Miss Havoc would have said this was her favorite film.

The plot is ludicrous, the acting is horrible and at best it is unintentionally funny. The sex scenes are funny, not erotic. The dramatic scenes are so badly written and acted you can't help but laugh.
It thinks it is redeeming itself with a so called moral ending. Even that is funny. I laughed in all the wrong parts.

This is truly a C grade noir. The bad, hackneyed writing is one thing, but the casting is a bad joke.
Lee J. Cobb, the perpetually cantankerous walking heart attack getting whipped up into a froth by some dame? And frigid Jane Wyman at that? Not even in n movie and. Cobb wisely left romance alone and went on to playing cops.
Wyman went on to becomeme the blandest TV mom in n history.
