this movie is such a joke, the story is so off the original book that makes the story look stupid and makes no sense. The sad part is this movie had so much potential but you can't make a movie with the title Troy and rape the story so badly. Brad Pitt was not so bad, but not even him could help the terrible writing. So many errors, and I really mean so many errors. Please read the book or a book adaptation ( a little bit easier to read) let's just say that in the real book Paris dies a lot earlier that the end of the war, helen returns to Greece with her husband (who was not killed by hector, and there are a lot more goods there. I suggest you watch the Odyssey with Armand Assante which was a lot closer to the real book

One of the best Peruvian movies that I have ever watch, and pretty close to the book too. In this movie you can watch one of Peru's best actors in the last 30 years, Gustavo Bueno, who was the doctor in Lima in the Motorcycle Diaries. His motto to the cadets, "what are you laughing at? do you want a naked picture of me? is a classic. You can also see a lot of the racial, ethnic and class issues affecting Peru in those years, the large Indian immigration to Lima, and other cultural characteristics of the region and the country. Leoncio Prado is a real school in Peru. To a ceertain extent, things have not change much in Peru since then, so it is a ninteresting interpretation of the country's soul.

This a great movie for any football fan. A great set of stars from the 70's, Pele and Stallone as a funny goalkeeper. This is one of my favorite soccer movies. The storyline is not the best, but it is catchy. Now the way the stadium was set up, the noise, it feel really real. I would love to see a similar movie remade. Maybe a victory 2 with todays's stars. Some people do not like the idea of sly as a football player, I disagree, I think he playing the "football-ignorant"american is good. Now I also think that the way the soccer players acted was very realistic. In special Pele was good. I know many friends in many countries outside the USA who just love this film.
