As the ending chapter in the trilogy I enjoyed this movie the most. It had more of Bruce Wayne than just Batman. It showed Bruce's face behind the Batman mask and did so believably. Like we all know the Joker took the spotlight in the previous film and the first one was more Batman action. So we got a trilogy with a balanced focus between the guise, the seamlessly corrupt and the person behind the guise. Which is nice.
As a movie about the struggling person behind the mask this was, for me, the most touching out of the three films. And the most hope inducing, seeing Bruce Wayne recollect himself from the pit and rise to stand on his own feet. Re-mustering his courage and will.

When the movie came out it was obviously over-hyped, everyone was going crazy over this 'awesome' and 'super deep' movie about dreams within dreams. I was not very enthusiastic about the film before seeing it, and I wasn't after seeing it. It is a typical Hollywood movie, it has action, love, stuff... Nothing different, and it was disappointing for me because I was actually expecting some interesting dream-realm experience, but there was none.. Every dream was just like a regular action movie, nothing dreamlike - floating in air is not enough! Nor is going deeper dream by dream, if you don't actually feel like the characters are in a dream. And this is the main reason I was disappointed, it has no dreamesqueness, it didn't overwhelm me! So, I think, it is presented falsely as a movie that is spectacular in its 'deepness' and 'dream ambiance'. Aftewards I got to see 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' which was obviously much more like what I would look for in a movie about dreams.
Obviously, this is my perspective on the movie, if you are looking for a film that has your regular action+(lost)love combo, then this is your flick. Don't expect any dream world experience.

This is a movie about visuals.. and absurd, over the top fun. An enjoyable ~60 minutes for your mind to take a rest. Let the mind take a break, seat it comfortably and allow the colorful animation splash a bucket of weird Japanese imagination to your face. I must say that this movie is best viewed without the subtitles. When I first was watching it without them I decided to turn the subtitles on so I could follow the story, but right after that I missed half of the anime's lively visuals. So if you really are interested in getting the full experience and don't know Japanese I would recommend to watch this one twice, once to get the story, and second time to actually enjoy the amazing animation.
