Bonded by Blood' has a solid cast of familiar faces from the British mobster/football hooligan genres, which are kind of interchangeable a lot of the time! In addition to Neil Maskell and Tamer Hassan, who both appeared in the classic 'Football Factory', there's 'Footsoldier' alumni Dave Legeno and Terry Stone. Stone again plays Tony Tucker, one of the gunned-down trio, as he did in 'Footsoldier', but it's a toned down, less flamboyant version of the character and also minus the now iconic fright-wig he wears in 'Footsoldier' and its sequels. The weakest link cast-wise is Adam Deacon..who??..who's terrible and laughably unconvincing as a wanna-be tough guy who you don't believe for a minute would earn the respect of bad asses like Hassan and Legeno. Worth a watch for fans of both the genre and the rotating stock company of actors that show up in these films, but for the definitive version of the 'range rover murders' check out 'Rise of the Footsoldier'!
I will give the European actors some slack because they clearly aren't native English speakers, but their characters are just confusing and their motives are a little muddled, like Scarlett is an android but we don't really know that and it isn't explained until after a confusing scene where she survives getting shot and shocks the woman who shot her. Eric Roberts is literally phoning in his lines, like they literally just used Skype for him and he's clearly reading his lines off of the screen of his laptop, I know the guy will take any role but holy Christ man, you didn't need to do this one! This one was another in a long line of vanity projects because George Tounas who played our main character Ace also wrote and directed this turd of a movie and there are also two movies that proceeded this one and I kinda want to see those movies but I'm afraid it'll cause my brain to melt because this one almost broke my brain and it would've if I weren't immune from horrible Z-grade movies.
Dream Seeker is a great short comedy about a creative man in a boring job who just wants to make films and make a decent living out of it. Ben Mansfield and Max Rudd are captivating in this short film as Greg and Seb, the comedic duo who attempt to make a riveting movie based on their life experiences. They send it to a film festival and win awards and cash prizes. It's a film that goes full story in most character arcs and that's excellent writing. Shot around the beautiful foliage of Norfolk and has impressive cinematography throughout it. This is simply a film worth watching for anyone who cares about making films.
